Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: "I ask of you, are you my Commander?"

The first reaction after seeing the ability of Morgan was shock, to the point of being in a daze for a long time.

Although she didn't know how, due to her intuition, Morgan had that feeling as if Viktor was looking into her very being as if she didn't have a secret to hide from him.

At the same time, she was shocked at how this world has so much elemental and magical energy.

Before, she was raking her brain, thinking of ways to restore the magic energy in Britain so that Avalon could be replenished; that was when she received a mysterious call.

A call to a new world where she wouldn't have to worry about her kingdom running out of magical energy, of course, she accepted it, as for the fate of Britan since she isn't here? She doesn't give a thought about this; she only cares about her kingdom of fairies.

"I ask of you, are you my Commander?", she asked him with her face as deep and calm as water.

Viktor felt as if he had heard this sentence somewhere. Nonetheless, he replied: "Hello, Sorceress Morgan, Queen of the Fairy, it's an honor to meet you."

"I am Viktor Arundel, King of Arlit, and the one who summoned you."

'huh, so he is a king?' She has dealt with many kings who want to go to Avalon due to the legend of Excalibur; she wondered if it was his goal: "May I know why you summoned me?"

Viktor naturally has thought about Morgan, although he doesn't know much about her thoughts, but the system said to summon personages from myth.

In most myths he has read, Britain is a land where magic is waning, and Morgan was trying to save Avalon by restoring magic since the fate of Avalon lies with Britain, the kingdom bound.

He said: "Queen Morgan, I summoned you not because I wanted anything in particular; I don't consider you as someone who would be my servant but as an equal—a ruler who understands the weight of leadership."

"Avalon is sacred to you, a kingdom tied to magic, yet even in Britain, magic is waning. But here, in this world, elemental and magical energy is abundant, far beyond anything in Britain or even your world itself."

"I offer you a realm where magic is eternal, where you can thrive, where the fairies under your reign will flourish without limitation."

"I do not seek to control you, but rather to forge an alliance; I hope you can help me in making my Kingdom prospect and flourish in this world while, in return, we could also help each other."

Morgan's face, which has been calm all the time, could no longer hide her thoughts; it's really like she thought it was another human wanting power he couldn't control.

But thanks to his greed, at least she no longer has to worry about the fate of Avalon when magic completely wanes; at the same time, she is very curious about this world.

Although she looks down on Viktor, after all, she doesn't know his depth since he summoned her; what if he had summoned someone as strong as her?

She asked: "You said we could help each other, but I don't see a way you could help me; I have already been summoned; what use do you have?"

Viktor chuckled, really as impitoyable as in the legend, he said: "First of all, as long as I die, you would return to your world along with your kingdom, this is in the contract before I summoned you, also, don't even think about controlling me or someone near me, you could never do this no matter if it's indirect or direct."

"Finally, I think it would be beneficial to help each other, I mean, I'm very familiar with this world, I can help you settle down and win a land for your kingdom, plus, if in the future I summon someone more powerful than you, what do you think would happen if we are allies at that time?"

Morgan couldn't help but curl her mouth: "You speak of an alliance, yet your terms are strict."

"Also, what guarantees do I have that you won't seek to undermine or deceive me in the future? Alliances are built on trust, and trust is earned, not given."

Viktor didn't take what she said to heart, does she want him to not have any precautions towards her? That only means he is brain dead; it's very necessary to be precautious, although there's some lie in what he said.

He thought about a way to earn her initial trust: "To show my sincerity, I am willing to help you find a land rich in resources and help you fight for it to establish and expand Avalon."

In fact, with her strength, it's very easy for her to find a land and reclaim its strength, but no way, he is the one with the information advantage here.

It must be said that Morgan was a little tempted. She had long wanted to make Avalon a real instead of an illusory realm, but the magic in Britain was exhausted. It was better to continue being an illusory realm, but now, she has a new opportunity.

"Very well," Morgan said, her tone slightly less guarded. "If you truly wish for an alliance, then helping me secure a land rich in resources is a good start. I must know more about this world before I can fully commit. What can you tell me about the regions and their strategic value?"

Viktor wanted to talk to provide her with some information but thinking about the noble waiting for him at the banquet hall, it wasn't a good moment: "Well, let's talk about this later, a banquet about my coronation is being held at this moment, it's disrespectful if I'm not here."

As for doing his Chance Lottery in front of Morgan? He didn't even think about it; it was his biggest card; in fact, he didn't want to tell her much about his information and ability; it was only because it was necessary to gain her trust about things she would know sooner or later.
