Chapter 66 - Wind bloom festival

Aether was back in the white void when he saw the Unknown Gods, as she was still chained, but he saw one of the chains was broken. "Something happened one does are broken, how".

The Unknown god chuckles as she floats to him. "I don't know how, but I do know you did".

Aether looked as he spoke. "Was it because of the fragment of the Meteoroid I destroyed".

She then put a finger on her chin as she spoke. "Mostly like, but you could also be wrong"

Aether sighed as he spoke. "So quick Question, do you have a name".

She blinked as she spoke. "Why would want to know that".

Aether looked as he spoke. "I only called you the Unknown God because I didn't know; now I know how you act so".

She then smiled as she spoke. "It has been so long since someone asked for my name, normal they called me the Sustainer of heavenly principles, but my True name is Asmody".

Aether blinked, surprised by the revelation. "Asmody… That's quite a name. The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, huh? You must have quite the reputation."

Asmody floated gracefully in the void, the chains that bound her glimmering faintly, their tension still palpable despite one of them being broken. "Reputation? Perhaps. But that was long ago. Things change, and so do the principles that guide this world," she said cryptically, her voice softening, almost wistful.

Aether took a step forward, the air around him still and heavy with unspoken questions. "So, what's the deal with these chains? Are you trapped? Or is there more to it?"

Asmody's gaze shifted to the broken chain. She didn't respond immediately, her expression unreadable. Then, as if coming to a decision, she spoke. "These chains were forged to bind me. They were meant to keep me from interfering with the flow of time, reality, and fate. But now… One of them is broken. Perhaps it's a sign that something is changing."

Aether frowned, his mind racing with possibilities. "And you're telling me this now because you think I'm the cause?"

She nodded, her eyes glowing with a knowing light. "You've played a part, yes. But you might not realize the implications of what you've done. Breaking a chain might seem like a small thing, but it's a step toward something larger."

Aether crossed his arms, feeling the weight of her words. "So, what now? You free yourself and then what? The world isn't exactly in the best shape right now."

Asmody's smile returned, but it was faint, almost sad. "Don't worry. The world isn't ready for what I am yet. And it won't be for a long time. But you, Aether… You'll be the one to decide when that moment comes."

Aether's brow furrowed in confusion. "Decide? What does that mean? What do you expect from me?"

Before she could answer, the white void around them began to shift, the surroundings warping and changing. The air hummed with an unfamiliar energy, and Aether instinctively reached for his bow, ready to defend himself if necessary.

Asmody raised a hand, the ethereal glow around her body brightening as she spoke calmly, "Do not worry. This is not your time. Go. The world is calling you."

Aether looked around, trying to understand what was happening. "What do you mean?"

"You have unfinished business," Asmody said cryptically, her voice soft and distant. "The Wind Bloom Festival is approaching. There is much you still need to do. Go back to Teyvat. It is time for you to play your part."

Before Aether could say anything further, the void around him collapsed in on itself, and everything went black.

As the darkness receded, Aether found himself standing in Mondstadt, the familiar sights and sounds of the city greeting him once again. The streets were bustling with activity, and he could hear the excited chatter of the townsfolk as they prepared for the upcoming Wind Bloom Festival.

"Wind Bloom Festival…" Aether muttered to himself, remembering the celebration of freedom and love. It had been a while since he had taken part in such a festivity, but something about the timing felt significant now, especially after his encounter with Asmody.

He glanced around, noticing the flowers blooming vibrantly in the spring sun, their colors bright against the clear blue sky. A light breeze carried the scent of fresh blossoms through the air, and for a moment, everything seemed peaceful.

"Hey, Aether!" Paimon's voice rang out, breaking his thoughts. The small floating companion zoomed over to him, her usual exuberance filling the air. "We're about to check out the festival preparations! Are you coming? It's gonna be a blast!"

Aether gave a small smile, shaking his head. "Sure, I'll join you. But something tells me this Wind Bloom Festival is going to be more than just a celebration."

Paimon blinked, her curiosity piqued. "More than just a celebration? What do you mean?"

Aether looked up at the sky, his expression thoughtful. "I'm not sure yet. But I have a feeling that something big is coming, and this festival will play a part in it."

As the day progressed, the streets of Mondstadt became even more vibrant. Stalls were being set up, colorful decorations hung from the buildings, and the sounds of music filled the air. The city was alive with anticipation.

Aether and Paimon made their way through the crowds, eventually reaching the main square, where Jean and the rest of the Knights of Favonius were overseeing the festival preparations.

"Ah, Aether! Paimon!" Jean greeted them with a warm smile. "I'm glad you're here. We could use your help with some of the final preparations."

Aether nodded, though his mind was still on the conversation with Asmody. "Of course. But I have a feeling there's something more to this festival than just decorations and food."

Jean raised an eyebrow but didn't press further. "Well, it's certainly an important occasion for Mondstadt. But we're also hoping to strengthen the bonds between the nations and remind everyone of the importance of freedom and friendship. With everything that's been happening recently, we could all use some joy."

As they worked together to finalize the arrangements, Aether couldn't shake the feeling that something was brewing beneath the surface of the celebration. He had a hunch that whatever Asmody had warned him about was starting to unfold, and the Wind Bloom Festival would be the catalyst.

Later that evening, as the festival kicked off, the streets of Mondstadt were illuminated by lanterns, and the sounds of laughter and music filled the air. Aether, Paimon, and the others joined in the festivities, though Aether remained on edge, his senses alert for anything unusual.

It was then that he felt it—a shift in the air. The calm, joyous atmosphere of the festival suddenly seemed a little more charged, as though something unseen was lurking just beyond the horizon.

"Hey, Aether!" Paimon exclaimed, noticing his distracted look. "What's up? You're acting all serious again! Come on, enjoy the festival! We can't be all doom and gloom all the time!"

Aether looked down at her, giving a small smile. "I'm trying, Paimon. But something's not quite right."

Before Paimon could respond, a loud crash echoed from the outskirts of Mondstadt, followed by a series of shouts and screams.

Aether's eyes narrowed. "Looks like the festival just got interesting."

With that, he and Paimon rushed towards the source of the disturbance, ready to face whatever challenge awaited them at the Wind Bloom Festival.

Aether then spoke. "I year, I have been in Mondstadt for 1 year... You know I was wrong, nothing bad is gonna happen today".

And he was correct, he then ran he knew what it meant as he grabbed flowers, as he ran as Paimon followed him, as his speed went faster

Ding!

[Host has crit in Speed, 1 Million Times Crit Effect has started]

Meanwhile, Amber, Eula, Lisa and Noelle were in a place of city, as they were sitting around a table as Luminis was on Eula's lap.

Luminis looked at Eula, his little dragon wings moving. "Mama, why did Papa call us here?".

Eula patted her son's head as she spoke. "I don't know, but we are waiting".

Amber then spoke. "Look".

They saw someone on a wind glider glide down; he landed next to them, holding 4 different Flower Bookey, one with each of their flowers. He smiled.

Aether looked at me as he spoke he spoke in hups. "For each of you, for each of wives"

Aether was so happy that Polygamy was a law that All 7 nations followed

(for people who wondering what? Wasn't he only married to Eula, yes, but since not all events happen back to back, between this current Festival and Unreconciled star events, he married all the members of his current harem)

Aether smiled as he held out the four flower bouquets, each one carefully selected for the women in his life. He looked at Amber, Eula, Lisa, and Noelle, his heart full of warmth. "For each of you," he said, his voice light and full of joy. "For each of my wives."

Eula's eyes softened as she gently took her bouquet, the delicate flowers brushing her fingers. "Aether," she murmured, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips, "I didn't expect this… But it's beautiful."

Amber laughed, her bright eyes shining. "You really went all out, huh? It's not every day someone shows up with four bouquets!"

Aether chuckled, glancing at Paimon, who was hovering beside him, still wide-eyed from his swift entrance. "I had a little help with the speed, but the flowers were all me," he said, glancing down at his glowing feet where his Crit effect had kicked in. "I figured it was about time to show my appreciation for all of you."

Paimon flew over, clearly impressed. "Paimon saw you jumping through rooftops! That was so fast! You were like a blur! How did you even manage that?!"

Aether shrugged nonchalantly. "You know, sometimes you just get the right momentum. Besides, the festival isn't the only reason I'm here today."

Noelle, who had been quietly admiring her bouquet, looked up at Aether. "Is there something you want to talk about, Aether?" Her tone was gentle but curious. "You've been so serious lately. Is everything alright?"

Aether paused, looking at each of the women, his mind returning to the strange encounter in the white void and the words of Asmody. The weight of their meaning pressed down on him, but he knew this was not the moment to speak of it. For now, he wanted to focus on the happiness and peace before him.

"Yeah, everything's fine," Aether said with a small, reassuring smile. "But today, I just wanted to be with all of you. To celebrate this moment. Nothing bad is going to happen today."

He handed the last bouquet to Lisa, who looked at it with a pleased expression. "Aether, how thoughtful," she said, her usual playful tone softened. "You've certainly outdone yourself."

Amber grinned, nudging Eula playfully. "See? What did I tell you? He's always full of surprises."

Eula chuckled, holding Luminis close to her chest as her son began to babble happily, his little dragon wings fluttering as he reached for the flowers. "Papa's always surprising us, it seems. But today, we can enjoy the peace."

Aether felt a surge of happiness as he watched the women he loved and cherished. Life felt so full in this moment, the warmth of the festival surrounding them, and the sound of laughter filling the air. The flowers were just a token, a symbol of his love and gratitude for all the bonds they shared.

"I know we've had our share of challenges," Aether said, his voice softening, "but being with all of you, especially now, I feel like everything is finally right."

"Well, we're happy to have you back here, Aether," Lisa said, her voice warm with affection. "The Wind Bloom Festival is the perfect time to show how much we appreciate each other. And you've certainly done that."

Aether looked at Paimon, his ever-present companion, and smiled. "And I couldn't have done it without you, Paimon. You've always been there."

Paimon puffed out her chest, her small wings flapping excitedly. "Of course, Paimon's always around to help, especially when there's cool stuff like this! But you've come a long way, Aether. And today is a day to celebrate that."

With a final nod of appreciation to Paimon, Aether turned his attention back to the women and his son. The moment felt perfect—just the right balance of peace and joy.

As the day passed, the festivities of the Wind Bloom Festival filled the air, with people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate. The streets were alive with music, food, and laughter. Aether and his wives walked together, hand in hand, enjoying the sights and sounds of Mondstadt. Luminis happily perched on Eula's shoulder, giggling as he tried to reach for the colorful balloons tied to nearby stalls.

Aether's mind, for once, was at ease. There was no danger lurking, no cosmic threats to worry about. Just this simple, beautiful moment.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow across the city, the sounds of celebration grew louder, the atmosphere more vibrant. The sky above Mondstadt was painted with hues of pink and purple, a perfect backdrop to the joyous occasion.

And in that moment, Aether realized something. Despite the challenges, the battles, and the constant unknowns of the world, this was what mattered. The people around him. The love he shared with them. The peaceful moments he could take to appreciate all that he had.

For now, he would cherish this peace, knowing that it wouldn't last forever. But in that fleeting moment, it was enough.

As they made their way to the center of Mondstadt, the grand fireworks display began, lighting up the sky in a stunning array of colors. Aether smiled to himself, knowing that no matter what came next, he had something worth fighting for.

And perhaps, just perhaps, this festival would mark the beginning of something even greater.
