" He.... he's in trouble... big trouble. They've got him,"
" Got him? Who's got him?" Jake was beginning to feel agitated, as anticipation and worry rose in his heart.
"The wolves.....they've got him,"
" Wolves? What wolves?"
" Were.....werewolves,"
" Shit!"
Immediately Jake took her in his arms and dropped her on the bed.
He ran downstairs as fast as his chubby legs could take him and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.
Running back up, he arrived in her room and handed her the bottle of water.
As the bottle got into her hands, she greedily took it all and chugged it down in one go.
" Whoa, I've never seen a pretty lady drink water like that," he joked, trying to lighten the tension in the air.
As the bottle left her lips, she seemed to have calmed down a bit as she gave Jake a weak smile.
