Chapter 157 - Chapter : 156 : We Are Back Again

RT met a dead end. The front was filled with a dark substance; as long as he stepped on it, he would sink into it. Although he had been enhanced, he couldn't fly, so he couldn't pass. Behind him was 'The Old Man,' and the horror of 'The Old Man' was beyond doubt. Being caught by it was tantamount to death.

Of course, it was also possible to survive, but that chance was slim. Therefore, at this moment, RT was neither advancing nor retreating. He was so anxious that he was sweating profusely.

While he hesitated, 'The Old Man' finally reached his side and stretched out his hand to grab him. RT was not someone who easily admits defeat, so after finding no way to escape, he dodged to avoid the hand. Then he looked around, and his eyes lit up.

"Window!" RT shouted with excitement, then rushed to the glass window of the observation room. Through the glass, RT could see the anxious faces of the others.

"You guys, move!" RT shouted, raising his hand to signal that he was going to smash the glass.

The group was not stupid; they understood RT's intention. He was trying to smash the glass and escape. As for why he didn't leave through the exit, it was obvious that the exit was no longer available. After smashing the glass, the residual poisonous fog in the room would fill the air, so the group would be in danger if they didn't leave.

"Let's go!" Brit, recognizing the urgency, yelled, turned around, and ran. The others quickly followed.

Seeing that the group had left, RT raised his fist and slammed it against the glass, causing cracks like spider webs to form in the thick glass.

RT's eyes widened as he exclaimed, "Why is this thing so tough?!"

You know, he had the strength to crack a concrete wall with a single punch, but the glass in front of him only cracked. It was clear that the durability of this glass window was very high.

"F*cking damn it, again!" RT cursed and punched again. This strike doubled the number of cracks in the glass, but it still didn't break.

"Ah! Son of a b*tch!" RT grew impatient and punched once more.

This time, the punch finally shattered the glass. But almost immediately, RT felt something grab him.

"Oh sh*t!" RT was horrified, quickly turning around to see that 'The Old Man' was grabbing his suit.

"Damn it!" RT's mind went blank, and he subconsciously tried to break free.

But before he could, 'The Old Man' suddenly pulled him to the ground with force. On the ground was a dark substance. 'The Old Man' wanted to drag him into his Pocket Dimension.

"No!" RT, tense and desperate, shouted.

He raised his fist and struck 'The Old Man's' arm. But after hitting it, RT only felt as if he had struck a piece of steel. This indicated that the physical resistance of 'The Old Man' was ridiculously strong. At this moment, RT knew he wouldn't be able to run away.

Just as his thoughts raced, he felt a sudden tingling sensation on his skin. He turned to look and saw his protective suit was scratched, exposing the inner clothing.

Without the protective suit, it was impossible to resist the poisonous fog in the environment. RT realized he had been infected by SCP-008.

"I'm dead either way, so come on, let's die together!" RT went crazy.

He no longer cared about the protective clothing. He clenched his fists and began attacking 'The Old Man.' RT felt as if his bones were going to break, but 'The Old Man' still looked intact.

This situation shocked viewers in the chat:

"It's useless! The toughness of 'The Old Man' is too high!"

"If it could be killed so easily, the Foundation would have done it long ago!"

"Hey! It's a pity RT, after all this, is about to be gone!"

"I love it!"

No matter how RT attacked, 'The Old Man's' expression didn't change. Eventually, RT grew tired, and 'The Old Man' pulled him down, sinking into the ground. During this process, perhaps to keep his prey, 'The Old Man' viciously attacked RT's chest, squeezing his heart.

Outside the Containment Room, the group watched the sealed metal door anxiously. Just when RT was about to smash the glass, they left quickly because there was still a virus in the room. Not to mention, besides the virus, 'The Old Man' was also inside.

After exiting, Brit kept an eye on the navigator. The red dot representing SCP-106 remained, indicating that 'The Old Man' had not yet left. What happened to RT was beyond their guesses unless they saw it with their own eyes.

Suddenly, Brit noticed that the red dot warning on the navigator disappeared.

"'The Old Man' has left!" Brit exclaimed in surprise.

"Ah? What about RT?" Kiwo asked anxiously. She had a bad premonition. Soon, they learned from the chat that RT had quit the game.

"Haiya!" Brit shook his head; the others were also disappointed.

Vale said, "'The Old Man' is so annoying! Should we go in again?"

Brit looked at the metal door, thought for a moment, and said, "Don't go in. There might still be some virus inside. Let's go..."

They took one last look at the metal door and left. Because RT had withdrawn, they felt a little heavy-hearted. They didn't know what they might encounter, but only four of them remained. It would be more difficult to beat the game. But no matter how tough it was, they had to move forward, even if an abyss lay ahead.

The group resumed their exploration of the area. They passed through passages and halls and even encountered the bear along the way. Recognizing it as SCP-1048, the "Builder Bear," they moved on quickly. Luckily, it was not very dangerous, so they left without incident.

Finally, when they opened the metal door at the end of a passage, a familiar scene appeared: walkways, rooms, windows...

"It's SCP-096..." Brit said quietly as he looked down the aisle.

Kiwo, standing nearby, recognized it too. She clenched her fist and said: "Humph! We're back again, SCP-096!"
