Chapter 40 - Wednesday – Fifth Round: Best Friends

[1.11.2025 Second part of few]

So it happened that Shokuhou, who probably didn't know about Index's bottomless stomach, or had forgotten about it, was left staring blankly at both of her hands, holding a quadruple serving of regular amount of food-stand food. Since the volume was clearly too much for her and Mikoto made a face expression that was saying; (Don't you dare leave any leftover of what you got!), an embarrassing drop of sweat rolled down the honey-haired girl's cheek. "Are you seriously expecting from me, to eat this whole thing? I'm not even sure where to start." She carefully glanced at the Touma - Index duo, who didn't questioned the generous gift and started eating their portions without any fear or holding back. Instead she was a little confused by the 8x serving, food hill in front of the silver-white girl. Only when she saw how they were handling them did she decide to carefully imitate their behavior.

Misaka, on the other hand, lack appetite, as she was daydreaming again. From the moment they sat down at the round table for eight people, she had turned her face almost to the opposite side. But she didn't know that she would be given a glimpse of the same bakery with desserts that she had to deal with last Friday. It was currently closed for (Technical reasons), which could have been the missing staff who ran away when the chicks came to life. Thinking about the chicken colony they have in the fridge, she couldn't help but ask: (("How are they doing?")) and (("Have they flown out of the nest yet?")); which actually resulted in a hypothetical question whether her sisters had managed to devour the entire colony, clearing the fridge empty. But at the moment, she was trying as hard as she could, not to pay attention to the other person at the table she was sitting at.

.

Namely, the black and white duo, without any shame, sat down at the table where Accelerator was sitting alone and slowly mincing/eating what he had, while sipping a can coffee. At the same time, his only reaction was an annoyed (Huh?) with one eye wide open, (What do they want here? Are they crazy?). But he immediately lost interest in it, when the nun greet him using an incredibly childish nickname. Actually, the white-haired lad had the entire round table for eight to himself until that moment, as if there was some mysterious barrier that discouraged others from sitting down.

For some reason, the nun knew him well enough to throw at him not so much a greeting as a brief announcement that she would sit down. In doing so, she sat down in the first vacant chair right next to him. Instantly she give all her attention to her food.

Kamijou didn't worry too much about #1 as he sat down next to the platinum white-haired girl, also redirecting his attention to his food.

Mikoto closely followed the black-haired lad, making sure to have him at hand length. She rather hastily sat down next to Touma, on purpose outrunning certain prankster. For that she dint look around before siting down, or pay attention to see who was siting there before them. But when she finally glanced at Accelerator, she scare jumped slightly on her chair.

Honey blonde had probably learned that as long as she didn't tease that white-haired beast, she would leave it alone. Although she had a problem not sitting next to Kamijou, a keen observer would have seen how she was very strategic about which of the empty chairs she would sit on. Since one chair was missing, as if someone had borrowed it, she decided to push one from the free chairs, all the way to Misaka as it was a second best option. The brunette herself was on the verge of saying that she was too close to her for her personal taste, but the obviously forced smile and slight grimaces on Honey's blonde face, explained to her, to stay quiet and not tease the beast two chairs away. [Accelerator]

.

The second visit to Accelerator's table occurred when Shizuri Mugino and Frenda Seivelun, were just walking past them with their portions. Meltdowner obviously didn't look left or right to much, as if she left the responsibility for finding a place where to sit to her teammate.

Except, when that big-mouthed blue-eyed blonde with a beret, glanced toward the table for eight and saw who was there, she turned pale blue as if she walked into a terrifically situation. The one that will turn criticizing for her bratty behavior, into violence pretty fast. No! Due to her hidden other specialization, it almost looked like she had read some mysterious message, or assignment, on the salt shaker placed in the middle of the table along with other small items. With immense respect, like a waitress from an expensive restaurant; using an elegant gestures of a maid: "Here is your seat, Mugino sama.";She directed her lady, the long-haired tea like brunette to the table in question, right next to the white-haired lad:

Shizuri immediately went into automatic lady mode. As if she didn't even think about what she was doing, and followed the instructions as if it were a dining protocol. However, it wasn't until she sat down at the table and paid a cursory attention to the other guests, by scanning them only once, that she clicked her tongue to express her displeasure at letting herself to be tricked. "Tcs!"

Of course, the guilty short blonde, walk running, disappeared from Mugino reach, to the far tables as if there was a difference between the main group and the other team members or helpers.

Let's not forget that just like on Sunday, #3 and #4 stared - glared at each other for a moment as if preparing for a territorial battle, before #4 gave in with another click of her tongue. Disliking the situation but not making a scene, she listlessly/apathetically dug into her food, joining the others at table who appeared uninterested to any fight. That is, except for Index, who enthusiastically consumed her food at high rate, with undisguised pleasure.

.

A literally match spark arrived when Kakine Teitoku as Dark Matter arrived with his superior attitude and stern. "So you've started already?" It looks as if he was siting on different table at first, refusing to join the accelerator. But when he saw what has happening, that the others sits down; he stood up, walked to them, and without any shame he sat down at the table for eight on the last free chair next to Mugino. He was definitely not popular with the other level-5s, which could be seen from their expressions.

We could literally say; that the tension between them, was getting to the point where, for some stupid reason, a fight would break out between the members of this table. But #2 himself didn't care.

.

But what neither of them expected was, that as if to completing the card deck, #7 Sogiita Gunha, also showed up with his overly enthusiastic energy of a fool. "Hi, so we meet again!" His almost shouted statement: "It takes a lot of courage/guts to meet at the same table like this."; Was accompanied whithis Guts energy. His hero (combat?) enthusiasm caused the expressions of most of the Level-5 attendees to turn sour. Someone would have said, that since there was no more free chair at the table, he would move on, but he energetically took a chair from another table and with a big smile sat down between Shokuhou and Kakine. He was the only one who didn't bother to direct his attention to eating and was not even smiling fully but was actually grinning enthusiastically.

.

Mikoto had a little trouble understanding how it was possible for seven… she glanced at Kamijou and Index… actually six, Level-5 Espers, to meet at one table. She couldn't help but ask herself in a low voice: "Could this situation get any more absurd?"

Index herself, who had already finished her eight-fold food serving, patted her swollen belly. "It seems that the highlight of the program is yet to come, short-haired." She spoke to the table like a speaker, gaining the attention of the others. "It probably goes without saying, or rather it should; that someone took the trouble to gather us all here. The otherwise harmless enchantment placed on this table is proof of that." She immediately turned to Touma, who froze so as not to accidentally destroy the table itself with his right hand. "The harmless enchantment is not so much imposed on the table as on its complement in the middle as a beacon leading trawlers toward summit point of a rallied journey that lured here its participants." She frown to quickly answer the yet unspoken question. "Obviously its not me, or anybody on this table who managed to pull this gathering." She reached for the salter and handed it to Kamijou.

The moment his right hand touched the small item, it break apart like very old cardboard box left in shed for who know how long. Entire load of salt drop to the table, and for the misfortune of the lad, partially covering a part of his food. Staring at his palm still covered in salt and his food, he facepalm himself with other hand. "Cant you have at last some dignity and spare the innocent food?"

.

She tilled her head for a second. "Few people told me to have some dignity. But when I ask the food vendors around, nobody want to serve it to me. So I don't know how that dish taste." There was a whole second of a pause as everybody was silent. "And like the rest, you too stay silent, as if it was some kind of meme reference, that I don't get it." She spread her hands in (What ever) gesture. "But since it has been proven, that several people have a mistaken idea of what this weekend was about, such as the local star of the audience..." She pointed to the short-haired brunette before looking around at the others and continued: "Then it would be appropriate to shed light on the unreported events. Especially when some are too eager to learn important details for them and some are too creative in explaining the small facts that have come to them and from there came a few big stupidities. Besides, what the short-haired one was doing, while running around and sparkling, is like a wandering kitten on the loose, compared to the eagerness of some of you." As she frown at the entire table, some of them had this (Watch you tongue, punk!) expression of a brawler. With this, she earned the silent attention of the entire table.

Her roommate face was dewy, wondering about what the others have doing, when his personal experience whit Railgun escapades and stunts, had been compared to the cuteness of a kitten.

Honey blonde on other hand, wide-eyed, looked back and forth between where the nun's two times quadruple portion of food was and the girl's tiny body. She was amazed at where all the food had gone, especially when this glutton was the main consumer of food in the hot pot restaurant while ago.

.

.

However, nun's small talk, (or specifically this gathering of theirs), also caught attention of a specific short-fused observer at the pedestrian part of the alley...who decided to jump headlong into the main-table conversation. It was Shutaura Sequenzia, the captain of special para-military like unit of combat robot drivers, who angry shout-barked at them as at group. "Are you crazy?!!" Their entire table, as well as many other customers from the surrounding tables and area; turn and looked at the girl, in body thigh high tech combat jump-suit, leaning out from the cockpit with an open canopy, of her spider-like high-tech combat robot.Expect that spider was clinking side-way to one of the concrete support pillars, like a big carnivorous monster, luring for its prey. She was probably using that invisibility to get here unnoticed, until the moment she opened the cockpit to threw a few words, right from her hart, into they faces. Her and the machine sudden reveal, confused or surprised many. Some frown as if it was a spark of a conflict between thugs.

However, she frowned and shouted at the table in question: "Do any of you you realize?!!; that thanks to this meeting of yours, the AC threat meter went crazy?!! The higher ups, and screw up scientist, even had discussed some serious nonsense about the fact, that they should seriously evacuate the entire district, if not a city itself. And all because, everymoron freaking out. Big shot VIP's ditched the perfectly suitable places to hold their conference, for something cozy at backstreet. There is mass wedding chase hysteria for a husband on lose. But most importantly, the entire class of the most famous troublemakers, gathered for the annual club meeting!! Right across the road to the high society, like on spite!!" She surely means to scold this table with a Level-5 group, except that she pointed with a clear gesture to this entire area consisting of tables for seating, encompassing everyone present.

Somehow, (if someone failed to notice), the dinning area become popular and was filled by dinning people of colorful personalities and fashion. Like the table where Frenda and other members of Mugino team was siting. Takitsubo Rikou, an AIM Stalker esper, the out of space staring girl in a pink track suit, asked if she shall join the main table while still radiating alethargic appearance. The rest of people around her strongly advised her, not to do, that she can sit-out this-one gig.

Of course, Mikoto didn't noticed until this point, that the rest of the tables and benches in this dinning area situated in this part of the underground shopping mall, were occupied. She even noticed her close friends (Shirai, Saten, Uiharu), who were here as well. Plus the place was filled by alleged members or friends of others (teams) that gathered around the other level-5s, currently the. Someone might even point out that it reminded them of an informal company meeting, or a civic association meeting, or just a club. In any case nobody was making a scene because of that robot and his pilot.

Anyway, Kuroko, as a member of Judgment, stand up and directly confronted Shutaura with the fact that she specifically had a problem with the black-haired operator in jump-suit, dragging her (vehicle?) into the shopping mall. And what's more she hissed as (How she dare?) to bring it to underground. Or rather; how did she even manage to do it, when the thing is so large and the stairs with elevators are somehow narrow. However, since her vehicle looked aggressive, the redhead objected to the Shutaura that her own hasty decision was exactly, the type of nuisance, the pilot was complaining about.

As the machine safely jump down onto the floor, Sequenzia shouted toward Kuroko: "Pipe down, errand girl, this matter outranking you!!" Red-head was taken back clearly overacting from this rudeness.

In contrast to their heating-up argument, was a growing group of children, who had taken an interest in this exotic means of transportation. Ignoring the danger of this fighting machine, their curiosity led them to approach too close to reach out, tap and admire.

Additionally, the fascination was also joined by slightly older observers from the ranks of students or adults, who (admired?) the pilot herself in that tight combat suit, or more precisely her almost bicycle-like sexy pose as she protruded from the shallow/tight cockpit. Many took out their phones to take a picture-shot for (Academic purposes?).

.

The dispute between the two (city protectors?) escalated quickly, reaching a point where they were both brandishing their titles; the first as a special unit and the second as Judgment. At one point, they were yelling at each other about whose idea it was for such a meeting and suddenly there was silence as they both stopped staring at each other.

Then all eyes turned to Index. Except the nun frowned: "Obviously I'm not the one pulling the strings when the very core of my actions is observation and response to a stimulus. However, I can't deny the possibility that the short haired one was led to this place all too easily."

Mikoto glanced at her and then glanced at Kamijou who looked guilty as if he knew something was up and had joined her for that reason.

But the white-haired girl continued: "It seems, that someone has also taken care to gather in this place: a fox bee, a lost child, fire spice tea, a second gust and a gem from the gym. The person behind this gathering, acting as a chess grand-master, organizing a game as game master, has practically gathered here a Queen, two Rooks, two Knights, along with me two Bishops and the strongest Pawn." She look around the area at people hanging around. "It is also quite remarkable how many spare pieces are on hand here, as if someone was putting together a team for a tournament game from those present."

Railgun sighed, stating aloud. "Once again, the game terms, became really popular these days. What's with the nicknames anyways?, that you two using them so often? On top of that, you're starting with those weird expressions and chess pieces. You talk noble, but we still haven't gotten to the answer as to who's actually responsible for this zodiac."

She stay silent, only raised a pointing finger, and point it in certain direction. They follow, and they saw it.

There was a person, just standing there, relaxing, leaning against a nearby support column, ignored by all. Wearing a black T-shirt, tracksuit sports pants, and long black hair tied in a ponytail; this figure of dubious gender gave the impression of copying the image of a certain famous gym teacher. But something was off, the overwhelming charisma he emitted was in contrast with his blank clothing."There is no need to be angry and stress out, because in higher contest we all are a chess pieces in some game of life." This person was speaking normally, not loudly, but somehow everybody on this dinning area, were capable to hear him perfectly as if he was standing next to each other, or was a speaker on podium. Just like if magic was involved. So all of them turn they gaze at him. "I can't help you much with those nicknames, that's a personal taste. But as for the question (Who took the trouble to gather a few important figures of the temple called Academy city, in one place?); the answer is simple. It's me. Although there were unprovoked efforts to make some of them run away on their own. Meanwhile, some of them did not cooperate with my intentions at all. Plus some were a nuisance just because."

For his speech, he earned quite angry stares, even combat ready expression from some of those present here.

.

Shutaura immediately barked at him: "So you're to blame?!!"

Yet the black T-Shirt person don't feel threaten by the combat suit warrior girl, but he keep a strict eye on the children around her. "I advice you to calm down. Actually I am not the origin of your troubles. Only the final response, to the last incident, in the deepest meaning. You are a typical example, why the planers are reluctant to share the battle plan with you. Truly, like a releasing an uncontrollable guard dog from a chain. Do you don't get it?; That they planed to trick you? To miss use you? So it will be (you!), who will cause the trouble? I am not an invader, only a response."

.

Shutaura dint liked any of it, so she grabbed the controls of her spider and the machine jerked. She only now paid attention to the onlookers, and barely managed to stop her mech from rolling over the crowd. She almost crushed a group of children who were standing too close, looking at it or touching the machine. In fact, she was shocked when she only now noticed that she was surrounded by a mini-crowd who would be hurt by a fierce kick from the fighting machine. The crowd was more amazed that the miracle had moved, than to show any signs of caution. It dint retreated to a safe distance from the switched on machine.

But on the other hand, it was Accelerator who realized that if she move recklessly the machine could crush the little ones and called out for her. "Retarded green brain!! Watch out for the runts/brats!! Realize where you are!!" More than worrying about what the female pilot was doing, a blood vein boils on his forehead because among those children, as usual, was certain someone. "Last Order!!, get over-here immediately!!"

The named little one understood that it was directed at her. She ran excitedly to the table, pulling her friends of the same height with her by the hand: a beret-clad blonde Fremea Seivelun and a creature with silver hair reaching down to her ankles named Fräulein Kreutune. Few people know, that this trio is labeled Disasters Triggers. If we don't take into account meaning of their existence or their abilities that they had; just the fact that more than two of them meet in one place, is enough for the (for public hidden) meter that showing the current threat to the city, to advance one whole level.

.

.

Mikoto, seeing Kuroko obviously stiffen up in the confrontation, called out to her roommate, gesturing for her to come over. Of course, the redhead moved, stepping towards the table in question. But as she took two or three steps, her eyes widened in surprise; when she realized it was actually an invitation… After another step, she teleported straight to her beloved, (above her lap), to fall into Misaka lap or arms, wrapping her arms around Railgun neck. The brunette scare-yelp at that sudden-attack sneaky-move and struggled in vain with the overly affectionate kōhai for her own living space.

.

This idea was also taken up by Last-Order, who, despite the Accelerator's obvious reluctance, climb up into his lap. When she did so, she cast seductive glances at him, but he looked extremely dissatisfied.

.

Meltdowner, on the other hand, caught in a tic (of jealousy?) or rather unhealthy competition; glanced at Fremea, who was just an arm reach. The child was watching the interaction between Last-Order and Accelerator from near. That's why the petite blonde didn't have time to react when the tea-colored brunette reached for her... lifted her... and sat the child on her own thighs. Somebody could easily mistook those two as mother from modeling magazines and her dress-up doll child. But, the little one just fully open her eyes in (Oh no!!) expression, realizing that she had just found herself in an unenviable situation. She was afraid to speak or even move, when the woman in question was radiating with the hunting intent of a beast.

Horrified Frenda, siting on different table and seeing the situation, in horror reached out her open palm toward her little sister in imaginary attempt to save her. But she too was defeatedby fear, unable to move from her chair. The only she was capable to do was to lament for her little sister.

.

Sogiita delivered a fiery one-sentence apt remark about how brave it was to have a Loli on own lap; and he already looked around. His gaze fell on a certain, at first glance ordinary elementary school girl, who had a green armband of Judgment on her shoulder.

He had met this little one, when she provoked a fight with #3 and he was equally untamable for Shirai. But the moment #3 and #7, meet up for the first time thanks to the interventions of these two lolitas; their gazes met, and they ended up facing each other. Both Level-5s sensed that the other was strong. They focus shifted on each other, a (possibly) strong opponent. So both of them stopped caring about, (playing whit), the big-mouthed Loli junior police-girls from Judgment. It didn't matter how much police pride or how much confidence, the two little girls had in their abilities. The two of them fell into a slump when their supposed prevention of trouble or raid on a troublemaker failed spectacularly. Especially when the older two, were more than determined to test their strength against someone worth fighting.

Anyway, at this underground meeting, the little girl tried to convince the idiotic lad, that she was just a neutral observer at the moment. But he had already withheld another heroic apt remark as if it were some wisdom about courage. Not bothering to wait for an answer, he carried her under his arm to the table, ignoring her crushed expression, because she had no chance of winning against this idiot. No matter if it is a fight, argument or scolding.

.

The third year student from Tokiwadai and number two from Shokuhou Clique - Hokaze Junko approached Mental-Out with her eyes shining, as if she too wanted to join in this group sitting in pairs. Of course the blonde objected, that Junko shouldn't dare to try, because Misaki didn't think she could handle the load, if the dummy was allowed to sit on her. But the girl with the drill curls hair-style enthusiastically gave an OK-thumbs up, saying that she had it under control. Mental-out was too late to interpret what the other had in mind and therefore didn't have time to react. Rampage-dress lifted the blonde into her arms and slid under her on the chair, effectively placing the defenseless blonde in her lap.

Someone could say, that he literally heard number-five's pride shatter into thousands of shards like a glass statue. You could tell from Misaki expression, that she was screaming in her mind: (What's going on?!!!) For a moment the drill-hair girl got confused, staring at back of Shokuhou head, because the younger one is no more a petite lolly girl as she was a year ago.

At one side, with Junko here, Misaki's problem about not be able to finish that pile of food in front of her disappeared. The athletic girl had no problem to ace a cake eating challenge, especially when she can burn those calories fast like a Formula one engine. But the price for this helping hand from her second in clique was too taxing for the queen as everybody saw, to be dealt like as small girl.

.

Additionally, a creature named Kreutune, with a hungry drool at her mouth, was staring more at the people present, than at theirs food in front of them. Appearing almost suspiciously deranged or out of mind, she seemed fascinated by how the group at the table reacted to the stimuli around them. In fact, one might suspect that she was the one at the top of the food chain, drooling over potential prey. However, her (hungry stare) was unnerving, and subconsciously affect anybody she was currently staring. "Nice. So many ingredients are blending in wonderfully youthful dish. I giving this emotional pizza a five stars."

.

.

Unlike the other people on the dining table section in role of spectators; the black-haired girl in the tight combat jumpsuit was on edge. Her eyebrows were twitching from anger and frustration. From her perspective, it must have seemed like no one was taking the situation the city was in, seriously. Or rather, they weren't taking her seriously. Only when she growled like an angry dog, (or a cat), at the little ones surrounding her spider; did she manage to disperse the crowd, who took it more as the beginning of a chase game. Finally having room to maneuver around her machine, she redirected her attention to the (effeminate?) looking guy.

In the meantime, he had walked leisurely in front of her spider and was now looking more at her than at her machine.

.

When their eyes met, her voice cooled belligerently: "Have you come to surrender?... A visitor?"

Except that her almost demanding order didn't have any effect at him and he continued to remain calm about the matter. "Interesting... When it comes to Sirens [mermaids]; sometimes it happens that when Mitosis occurs [cell division] and they become separate individuals; they can suffer from stress or shock, from being separated from their other half. Some might say that you are trying to cover up your restlessness with anger and keep yourself busy enough to think about other things. Although your Siren half, literally means survival instinct, while the other must be the social instinct. Now, you as a separated individual, should learn how to switch from survival mode to social mode and start to socialize. Otherwise, you will not get rid of this restlessness, unless you learn how to relax without having around your other half."

.

This comment of his made her to mentally step back as she obviously paused to think about it. It struck her as a breakthrough theory in the investigation that she hadn't even considered.

However, he continued. "Lets cut straight to your wrong assumption in perspective. Is misleading, calling me a Visitor, when I have the authority to go anywhere down here. If this are some slang when boss that no one saw shows on work field, then I dint get that. Furthermore, I didn't come here to confront the entire city, but just one person. And the name of the person who is linked as the guarantor of your fate, is different from the name of the person who is shaping the fate of the potential members of that team." He pointed with his thumb at the table where Level-5 had gathered. "So your name isn't on my interrogation list either."

.

That girl was momentarily taken aback by the explanation of why her position got a useless tag. But just as she was about to shake herself off her surprise and bark at him again; the radio in her machine switched to a loud speaker with a loud crack. Then a lifeless voice of a little noble girl came out of it, who is not only the director of the company in charge of the space elevator and the orbital station. But most importantly, this lolly director also oversees a special combat-oriented security group for the protection of the city, that using these high-tech piloted machines. The authority behind the voice was clearly heard. "Shutaura, immediately return to company! Since this is not directly about the security of the city, you have no authority to intervene. I expressly forbid you to interfere in any way in this legislative skirmish review that goes beyond the concept of high politics."

The combat pilot wore a completely uncomprehending expression on her face, as if they were trying to fool her with complete nonsense. Rather, it was visible on her face that she wanted to exclaim: (What kind of incomprehensible nonsense are they letting out among the people?!!)

On the other hand, the guy in front of the spider spoke to the person on the other end of the phone. "A nice name for (It's not mine problem! In other word, it's not our business! So, (You:), stay out of it!) from someone who is at the same time plotting her next 'big plan'. Did you this time, deign, to get me as your tutor? So that your new creation, doesn't suffer from the defects of the old one? Or are you trying to copy, something you saw over the weekend? You know exactly why I am here. Boldness shouldn't be tainted by stupidity. Especially when someone here is plagued (to be stuck-in) by child like mind set. On one hand I shall find out, if I am capable solve your main problem. But on the other hand, I shall reveal to your most trusted captain; that someone here directly obstructed her subordinate work, for personal reasons. Plus (I don't wanna waste my money on nonsense created by others.) was only an excuse."

The girl on the other end grinned conspiratorially so loudly with the so-called 'Che!!/He!!…' sound that it was visible how Shutaura vividly imagined, her boss silhouette whit that devilish quarter-moon smile of a villain with sinister intent. A moment later, the black-haired captain redirected all her attention to her truly main target; the person who gets on her nerves the most. Fully grasping the controls of her machine, she leaned into the cockpit to close its canopy cover.

She set off on her hunt, by letting that robot to jump up onto pillar, like a real jumpy spider. The mech, like if it was a ballet performance, balletically wriggled between people and furniture. He jumped nimbly - bouncing off pillars and walls. On contrary it even used a mysterious threads on which that spider swung. Only a few seconds passed when the spider, park-tour style, evading everybody, disappeared into the distance.

Some people around would even claim to have heard his female pilot to scream (a battle cry?).

.

[Notes]

-Diplomatic protocol – a set of formal rules for ceremonies and other diplomatic relations, important state visits, audiences, etc.

-Mugino Shizuri is a lady, her family runs a quite big international business.

-Sirens (ochechula [a woman who laughs a lot or too much], sea cows, sea maidens; Latin Sirenia) are a family of herbivorous mammals. The name siren comes from nautical legends about mermaids, luring sailors to dangerous places where they crash their ships on rocks and cliffs. When the first species of sirens were discovered, naturalists concluded that their existence gave rise to the legends. The creature itself is also called a river algae harvester. They live in coastal waters. They are well adapted for life in water: their upper limbs are modified into the shape of oars, they have no legs, they have a thick layer of subcutaneous fat and a reduced number of teeth. Milk nipples are located near the upper limbs, so they can hold their young while nursing.

In our story, the siren refers to a race of humanoids, or to a character trait of a person that goes beyond a dual personality. A split personality is not necessarily a Schizophrenia. [personality disorder] With a split personality, it can happen that both personalities compete for one body. On the other hand, a dual personality and multiple personalities: is actually switching characters/characters for the most optimal performance given the situation. A perfect example is too intense military training, sports or artistic performance, when a casual observer would claim that the performer in front of him, was like a completely different person. The source for this statement is the fact that the human personality has its own limits of what it can achieve. In the concept [lore] for sirens in itself, we could say that in order to ensure their survival, they proceeded to divide their personalities, to create a specialists engraved onto both sides of the dame coin. In the case of Toaru: into a fighting half unable to understand music (Shutaura) and a social half, singing idol (Meigo Arisa) unable to fight for herself.

This concept of personality, role and body swapping; can also be seen in: ["Will of Misaka"/ other sisters] or from other anime and similar: [Black Rock Shooter/ Hatsume Miku] Additionally with gender swapping in To-LoveRu: [Ren/Run (Erushi Jueria)] Ranma1/2 [Ranma/Ranko] Birdy the Mighty [Birdy/Tsutomu] In YuYu Hakusho [Spirit detective]: Shinobu Sensui [OP detective] built up to six extra personalities inhabiting one body, acting like a family. However, defeating one did not mean defeating the whole. (In a certain isekay RPG, one protagonist had the opportunity to use his Alternate character, which he created in a previous life as a player, but he was reluctant to use it because he could not control it, since it was actually a different person.) Or a person was so powerful, so it create a 7 after/shadow image. They were independent persons, his alts, so he went to sleep while them was send out, to play in world. Only when they were death, that person awaken from slumber.

[Forgive me, for the note to be so long.]
