Third person POV
Liam opened his eyes slowly, as if emerging from a heavy sea. His entire body felt covered in a layer of lead, and even breathing required effort.
"Liam!" Alice was the first to lean over him. Her clear eyes were filled with concern. Right behind her, Helena appeared, holding his hand as if the touch could bring him back completely.
"Are you okay? How do you feel?" Helena asked, her deep voice trying to hide the anxiety.
A little further away, Vanessa and Seraphina watched the scene in silence, but both were tense. Seraphina had her arms crossed, as if trying to convince herself that everything was under control, while Vanessa bit her lower lip, clearly unable to disguise her distress.
"What happened?" Liam asked, still a bit confused.
"A strong light appeared… and you just collapsed unconscious," Alice commented, still not letting go of his hand.
"It was sudden," Seraphina added, adjusting her glasses. "We couldn't even react."
