Chapter 16 - Abducted.

Carriage,

Critic-Izinghale, Critic-Ishire.

Helena considered the idea, her eyes narrowing as she weighed their options. Before she could respond, one of the women, a lady with dark, intelligent eyes and a composed demeanour, spoke up. 

"Please, don't," she said softly, her voice carrying a note of desperation. "If you disrupt the travel, it could ruin everything. I beg you, let us continue."

Lydia and Helena turned to face her, surprise evident in their expressions. "Why?" Lydia asked, her brow furrowing. "Why would you want to continue if we are being taken against our will?"

The woman sighed, her shoulders slumping. "I am the Marchioness of Critic-Izinghale," she explained. "My sister was taken to the slave establishment some time ago. I managed to follow her trail here, and I have been waiting for a chance to reach her. If we are going there now, I must go. I have to save her."

It was a rather emphatic speech but quite frankly, scary.
