Chapter 77 - Becoming Michael's Spokesperson

"May I know in what position you're telling me how I should act?" Aysel stretched out her left palm, making a counting gesture. "As an unknown kind man? Or as my COUSIN-IN-LAW, whom I just met today? Tell me—in what position exactly are you to complain about my behavior?"

Her gaze was intimidating, to say the least, and Michael found himself unexpectedly tongue-tied. When he finally found his voice, he spat out in disbelief.

"Do you even know what you're saying?" He glowered, looking defensive. "I was only trying to help you, for fuck's sake."

"I don't remember asking for any help," Aysel replied matter-of-factly, her hands on her waist.

Seeing Michael in a state of complete shock, she continued. "Now, if you would…"

"What's going on here?" The old voice of Lawrence echoed, his footsteps approaching.

[Shit! Fuck! Will he think too much and accuse you of dating Michael?!] The system, which had been enjoying the drama, suddenly voiced its concerns quite dramatically.
