Chapter 326 - Chapter 326, Where are the Others?

Chapter 326, Where are the Others?

Phillipa locked her legs tightly, slicing horizontally across the neck with her dagger.

The struggling body gradually lost its strength, collapsing down.

Only its eyes continued staring fixedly in her direction, dying with grievances.

Phillipa released the corpse, cautiously looked around.

Seeing that no one was watching, she immediately crouched down, grinning as she slid off the spatial ring from the finger, wiping off the blood stains on the body, and put it on her own hand.

Then, while keeping a vigilant eye on her surroundings, she began to strip the corpse of its equipment.

Leather armor, boots, the dagger at the waist—she picked up the dagger's handle and struck at the gold tooth in the mouth.

"Traitor, traitor!"

Suddenly, a sharp voice rang from above.

Phillipa's heart skipped a beat.

She looked up abruptly to see the green-feathered, red-crowned fat parrot perched on the railing, loudly shouting, "Traitor!"

"Damn it, shut up, stupid bird!"

"Traitor, lackey, stupid bird!"

"You damn…." Phillipa cursed, lunging at it.

The fat parrot flapped its wings and flew up, only to slam into the overhead beam with a thud and fall back onto the deck.

Phillipa blinked, "It really is a dumb bird."

She grabbed the clothing bundle and quickly dashed toward her pirate ship.

...…

Inside the ship cabin.

Amid deafening explosions, the entire ship was shaking violently.

Screams of pirates echoed outside, and blood trickled in through the cracks in the door.

Sheila Grey and the remaining squad members.

Crowded together in a narrow crevice, straining to see outside.

From their fixed view, they saw blazing flames and pirates being thrown through the air.

Severed limbs and gore splattered everywhere.

"What kind of weapon is this? Or did a grand mage arrive?"

"It must be the steward leading the team here. I just saw that Razor Captain being blown away. Probably dead by now."

"That's a level 12 wanted criminal. How could he be dead?"

"If he's not dead, he won't live long. That's his leg hanging over there."

The squad members whispered to each other.

With the arrival of reinforcements, their tense nerves finally eased a little.

It was like having walked through the gates of hell.

But Sheila Grey at the front still had a frown on her face.

Although she couldn't see who was attacking the pirates, this method felt strangely familiar.

Last time, Wu Heng had used a peculiar device to kill all the pirates surrounding him.

Could it not be Steward Imiro who came?

Was it Wu Heng?

How could he, someone who rarely even visited the Guild, suddenly appear here?

"Vice Steward, the noise outside has died down. Should we charge out?" someone suggested.

Sheila Grey looked outside again and shook her head, "Let's wait a bit longer. It's chaotic outside right now; going out might lead to friendly fire. Let's assess the situation first."

"Oh, alright."

"Everyone, eat something. We might still encounter pirates once we head out."

Everyone nodded, resting in place.

...…

The cargo ship, packed with skeletons, quickly drew closer.

Bullets rained down, hitting any visible targets.

"This side!" Wu Heng pointed to the left.

Bang, bang, bang~!

All gun muzzles aimed left, bullets densely fired.

The pirates trying to unhook the ropes or cut the grappling hooks were instantly mowed down.

"Over here!"

"Attack this ship!"

"Rocket launcher, sink that speedboat."

Wu Heng kept pointing at one pirate ship after another, and the skeletons followed his directions, adjusting their aim for continuous shooting.

Suddenly, from the corner of his eye, Wu Heng saw Phillipa clutching something, climbing back to her ship through the netting.

Wu Heng immediately directed the skeletons to aim at other ships.

"You know her?" Glenda floated nearby, asking softly.

"Yeah, she's my spy within the pirates. Today's intel came from her," Wu Heng replied directly.

Being closely connected with the ghost, many things could be disclosed to them without any issue.

"You don't seem to have picked the brightest person."

"Not many choices. As long as she's not too foolish," Wu Heng said.

His gaze flicked again to the Iron Barrel Pirates' position.

Phillipa had already climbed back onto her ship, directing the crew to come out and cut the ropes.

Wu Heng then turned away, looking in the other direction.

After Phillipa's ship detached and began moving away, he signaled the skeletons to casually fire a few shots.

But even so, a few pirates were still hit.

They collapsed onto the deck.

With Phillipa's pirate ship gone, there were no more concerns.

Amid a relentless barrage of gunfire.

The decks of all ships were littered with bodies, without a single survivor.

...…

"Cease fire!"

The skeletons heard the command and put away their guns.

The ship pulled alongside, and Wu Heng led the skeletons, jumping onto a pirate ship.

The deck was covered with corpses, and there was a sticky sensation underfoot from the blood and flesh.

He raised his hand, casting [Battlefield of the Dead], and the corpses on the deck transformed into skeletons, rising from the ground.

They swayed, picking up the scattered weapons.

Wu Heng walked to the entrance of the ship's hold, looking down.

Whoosh, whoosh~!

Several arrows whistled toward him.

Wu Heng ducked aside, tossing a light spell downward, glimpsing the pirates inside, ready for a defensive stand.

Seems like they were preparing for a standoff.

Thinking it over, he pulled a grenade from his spatial ring, pulled the pin, and tossed it into the hold.

Boom~!

After a loud blast.

Wu Heng said, "Charge in, leave none alive."

Clang, clang~!

The skeletons, armed with weapons, stormed into the hold.

Instantly, they engaged in fierce combat with the pirates inside.

Next, Wu Heng moved on to the remaining pirate ships, converting the corpses on deck and ordering attacks into the holds to eliminate the remaining pirates.

Once he'd assigned each ship to the skeletons.

Wu Heng finally approached the Guild's besieged ship.

This ship wasn't in much better shape than the pirate ships; the railings were smashed, and the deck was littered with bodies, holes, and deep craters from explosions.

He walked around the deck.

Found the Red Crown Captain with a gaping chest wound and the stripped-down Razor Captain, left in only his underwear.

Wu Heng cross-checked them against the wanted posters and searched the area nearby.

Among the scattered limbs, he found two legs likely belonging to Razor.

Taking out two straw mats from his spatial ring, he wrapped the bodies and stored them in his ring.

Then, he converted the remaining bodies into skeletons.

...…

Knock, knock, knock!

Wu Heng walked to the door where the Guild members were hiding and knocked lightly, saying, "Sheila Grey, you can come out now."

After the sound of items being moved away, the door was opened.

Sheila Grey led her squad and the sailors out from the dimly lit hold.

They all looked exhausted.

Not many crew members were left.

"Vice Steward Wu Heng!"

"Thank you, Vice Steward, for coming to rescue us!"

"Thank you, Vice Steward Wu Heng…."

They all expressed their gratitude, though they still eyed the mass of skeletons behind him with some trepidation.

Sheila Grey glanced around.

The scene was even grimmer than she had imagined; the deck looked like a wasteland, covered in blood and debris.

And on the surrounding pirate ships.

She could see skeletons dragging bodies out from the holds.

"Where are the others?" Sheila Grey asked.
