Sara found it as absurd at how easy it was for them to just decide who lives and who dies as if the life was given to those people by them. And now she was on the radar of a woman whom she had never met before. She hasn't even seen her picture before.
These were the same people who put her father's life in danger. They came to her apartment and wanted to kill her, but that failed. And now they were here again. She should have known that the peace she experienced came at a cost, and this was it, an unexpected attack.
"Give us a moment, Ian," Alex said to the driver who, without a second hesitation, exited the car.
"Yes, sir," he said and gently shut the door behind him.
Looking back at Sara, he stared at her face for a while, thinking about what to say or do to make her feel better. Or at least make a smile return to face.
