Chapter 350 - Chapter 350: Interrogating the Blood God Patriarch

The Blood God Patriarch glared coldly at Rhett, speaking in a low voice, "You talk too much…"

In the air, a yellowish glow began to form, enveloping the Blood God Patriarch's body.

"Damn it, no sense of honor, attacking without warning!"

The Blood God Patriarch's expression shifted as he sensed the terrifying binding force surrounding him. He cursed in anger, and a layer of blood mist appeared around him, dissolving the binding force as he quickly fled in another direction.

Rhett sneered and continued to draw upon his mental power, causing the profundity of vibrations to spread throughout the space. The entire world was instantly enveloped in earth elements. Endless yellow sand swirled in the air, and each grain of earth element radiated intense vibration power, creating a deafening hum that even drowned out the thunder.

Such terrifying power not only exceeded the Blood God Patriarch's expectations—forcing him to flee in panic through the sky—but also astonished the Ice Queen, whose eyes now carried an expression of shock when she looked at Rhett!

However, she was a seasoned warrior, her combat prowess unshaken. Her hands moved swiftly, and the string of her bow twanged with the explosive sound of thunder!

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh

Five white arrows shot through the air, each like a straight line, as if they were not arrows but beams of laser light.

Four of the beams narrowly missed the Blood God Patriarch as he barely dodged them by a hair's breadth.

Yet one white beam struck his arm.

The Blood God Patriarch focused intently, mobilizing the blood energy within him. The blood mist that appeared on the surface of his body crawled up like it had caught the scent of food, trying to consume the white beam.

However, this time, the white beam did not disappear quickly but instead passed through the Blood God Patriarch's body, leaving behind a finger-thick bloody hole.

The Light Profundity—Piercing!

Possessing the strongest penetrating power in the world, this profound energy could still inflict damage even if blocked. Its domineering power could only be countered by dodging. To confront it head-on meant suffering a loss.

The Blood God Patriarch's arm healed rapidly, and the injury was trivial to him, but he felt humiliated. As he saw Rhett and the Ice Queen working together, his expression darkened, and he started to feel pressure.

He began to realize that this man who had suddenly appeared was not a weakling, but rather a fearsome tiger!

"Hmph, so what if that's the case? The bigger the storm, the more valuable the fish!"

In the air, a shadow of a bat rose and gradually expanded, transforming into a blood-colored bat with a ten-meter wingspan. Its expression was fierce as it stared at Rhett. With a flap of its wings, it carved through the air and charged toward both the Ice Queen and Rhett.

"Filthy evil, face the purifying light!"

The Ice Queen frowned, but her hands moved too quickly to be seen. She nocked seven arrows and released them in quick succession, each glowing with pure light, aiming for the blood-colored bat's eyes.

The blood-colored bat displayed an almost human-like expression of disgust and dodged swiftly.

But in the next instant, a scream came from the Blood God Patriarch!

A cage formed of rock had suddenly materialized in mid-air, tightly trapping the Blood God Patriarch. In the next moment, a burst of blood light shattered the rocks, revealing countless spikes lining the interior.

Although the Blood God Patriarch managed to break free from the cage, his body was riddled with wounds. His clothes were in tatters, his face twisted in rage and fear, and as his body floated in mid-air, his blood energy quickly worked to heal the numerous holes in his body.

"All of these are complete-level profundities. Since when did someone like you exist in this world?!"

The Blood God Patriarch was both shocked and somewhat fearful. For a thousand years, he had been keeping a close eye on the world's Saint-level powerhouses. He was aware of every one of them, so it was impossible for someone who had mastered multiple complete-level profundities to suddenly appear without his knowledge!

But now, that very situation was happening before him! This threw the Blood God Patriarch into deep self-doubt.

"Hmph, there's much you don't know…" Rhett sneered coldly, not planning to reveal his identity as Jeanka just yet. He intended to beat the Blood God Patriarch until he was near death before interrogating him thoroughly...

Once again, terrifying energy exploded in the air, as yellow grains of sand filled every inch of space. Even if the Blood God Patriarch tried to flee, his speed was significantly hindered. The gravitational force of the field was so strong, and with its high-frequency oscillation, it became nearly impossible for him to break free.

Every time he reached the edge, the yellow force field would follow and trap him.

Barely managing to avoid an earth spike from behind, the Blood God Patriarch's eyes gleamed with fury. From deep within his body, blood energy surged, and blood mist oozed from every pore, quickly expanding until it covered the entire sky.

It felt as though the world had been plunged into a sea of blood.

Even the rolling thunder became muffled, struggling to pierce through the blood mist.

The complete-level vibrating force field seemed to have encountered its nemesis, like ice meeting boiling water, rapidly dissolving under the attack...

Rhett's face darkened. As described in the simulation, the Blood God Patriarch's power was now highly resistant to profundities. Even the complete-level vibrating force field couldn't harm him!

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh

While the Blood God Patriarch was focused on dispersing the vibrating force field with his blood energy, several arrows shot through the air, spreading out and transforming into a rain of arrows, each one as bright as a thunderbolt.

This time, it was the blood mist that met its nemesis. The mist in the air quickly dissipated.

The Blood God Patriarch gritted his teeth and called back the blood-colored bat, leaping onto its back like a bat-riding knight. In his hand appeared a dark black magic staff.

A low, deep wave of spatial energy rippled through the air, and a channel of dark element magic tore open in the space.

As the dark portal quickly closed, three massive creatures emerged—a giant skeleton with a diamond-like luster, a headless centaur knight ablaze with blue fire, and a jellyfish-like purple wraith surrounded by crackling purple lightning.

Dark Magic—Summon Undead!

This was one of the most distinctive dark spells, though its actual power was not particularly strong. Nevertheless, it looked quite intimidating.

However, to a Saint, undead magic was essentially worthless. It couldn't incorporate profound energy and consumed vast amounts of mental power, so dark-attribute Saint-level mages rarely used undead magic in actual combat.

At this moment, as soon as the three undead creatures appeared, Rhett sneered.

Having gathered more information by now, he knew that undead magic had many connections to the Netherworld and likely involved the actions of powerful beings from there. It was likely the handiwork of the ruler of the Undead Continent.

While Rhett wasn't sure how strong the creatures from the Netherworld were, he knew that those projected into this world lacked intelligence and were the weakest of their rank.

The headless centaur knight and skeleton charged toward Rhett, with the purple wraith following closely behind. They were nothing more than cannon fodder, shielding the Blood God Patriarch from more than half of the light arrows. But under the barrage of purifying profundities, they instantly disintegrated into ashes.

In those brief moments, the Blood God Patriarch gained some time to breathe and counterattack.

Another dark wave rippled through the air.

The Blood God Patriarch vanished from where he stood, as though he had evaporated into thin air.

"Be careful, he's mastered the Invisibility Profundity!"

The Ice Queen's warning echoed in Rhett's ears. Her delicate face grew cold as her hair swirled wildly, and she tried to flood the space with light elements in an attempt to force the Blood God Patriarch to reveal himself.

But the effect was minimal. She had only mastered two profundities, and "Light" was not one of them.

The two of them moved closer, standing back-to-back, scanning for any sign of the Blood God Patriarch.

Suddenly, a dark wave emerged, and Rhett's eyes gleamed like lightning. He moved with the speed of a thunderbolt, launching a spike imbued with Disintegration Power!

A pitch-black hole formed in the air, radiating powerful devouring energy, clashing directly with the Disintegration Power.

Amid the swirling blood mist, the Disintegration Power weakened and shattered into dust.

As the dust settled, the Blood God Patriarch was already within striking distance, his finger outstretched in a deadly gesture.

"Darkness will take your life!"

The Blood God Patriarch's cold voice fell, and from his fingertip shot a beam of blackness, like a void.

By the time the Ice Queen realized what had happened, it was too late. Her beautiful eyes widened as she helplessly watched Rhett get struck by the sinister dark beam, the power of deprivation within it sending shivers down her spine.

A flicker of panic appeared in Rhett's eyes as he locked gazes with the Blood God Patriarch, who wore a mocking, triumphant grin.

But in the next moment, the Blood God Patriarch's smile froze, replaced by a look of terror.

The dark beam had indeed pierced through Rhett's chest, but at the last critical moment, Rhett had used the Condensed Profundity to completely neutralize the power of deprivation.

When the Blood God Patriarch saw the thick armor that now encased Rhett's body, he realized things were not looking good. He immediately conjured another dark portal, and the three undead creatures emerged halfway, acting as his shield.

But the gravitational force within the space compressed everything within a hundred meters, binding everything in place!

In the blink of an eye, the three undead creatures were reduced to dust like smoke blown away by the wind, exposing the Blood God Patriarch's horrified face.

A barrage of light arrows shot forward from point-blank range. The Ice Queen had seized the opportunity, releasing her attack just in time, and the arrows pierced straight into the Blood God Patriarch's chest!

The purifying profundity embedded in the arrows exploded upon impact, completely overwhelming the Blood God Patriarch's blood energy!

In an instant, the blood energy was rapidly dissolved, consumed, and a blood-curdling scream rang out from the Blood God Patriarch.

His once-bloody, powerful body withered rapidly, transforming into a dry, skeletal husk as it convulsed in mid-air.

Rhett's face remained cold as he activated the field of earth elements, expanding the gravitational force and fixing everything in place.

"Argh…ah..."

The Blood God Patriarch's screams only lasted a brief moment. When he tried to counterattack again, he found an arrow pressed against his forehead. Its light illuminated his withered face, as if a mummy, buried for millennia, had been suddenly exposed to sunlight.

Above his head, a yellow spike also hovered, like the Sword of Damocles. It appeared ordinary, but it was imbued with the Disintegration Power. Together, they could completely destroy him!

Despair wrapped around the Blood God Patriarch like vines, inch by inch, suffocating him. He stared ahead at the man and woman before him with wide, terrified eyes.

He wanted to speak, but his throat was dry and scratchy, and no words came out…

"Who... who are you..." The Blood God Patriarch finally rasped after a long silence, his voice hoarse.

At this moment, the Blood God Patriarch had lost his blood energy and the protection of his blood mist, revealing his true face.

Seeing the familiar face, Rhett couldn't help but sigh, "Jeanka… how did you end up like this..."

The Ice Queen glanced at Rhett in surprise, then at the Blood God Patriarch, sensing something strange but wisely keeping silent.

A simple name, but it caused the Blood God Patriarch's already weakened aura to fluctuate violently. His body trembled as he stared at Rhett in disbelief.

He had considered a thousand possible questions Rhett might ask—about his powers, his background, his purpose…

But he had never expected that Rhett would directly reveal his identity!

At that moment, Rhett became even more of a mystery in the Blood God Patriarch's eyes.

"Jeanka? I don't know who that is…" The Blood God Patriarch forced himself to calm his breathing, speaking slowly. But his gaze never left Rhett, even though the elegant Ice Queen stood beside him—he paid her no attention.

"Hmm? You don't know Jeanka?" Rhett feigned surprise, regretfully adding, "It seems I mistook you for someone else. I had planned to help Jeanka rebuild the Golden Blood Academy, but since you're not him, never mind…"

Hearing these words, images flashed in the Blood God Patriarch's mind. His fists clenched, and he could no longer hold back. His dry body trembled madly as he roared, "Who are you? Who the hell are you? How could you know about this?!"

The Blood God Patriarch's breathing became rapid, and as though a sudden realization struck him, he screamed, "I know! It's Xieman, isn't it? Did Xieman tell you? This secret was known only to the two of us. Otherwise, how could you possibly know? What is your relationship with Xieman? What did Xieman tell you?"

His extreme reaction took Rhett by surprise. Seeing Jeanka nearly driven mad, Rhett's eyes deepened, and in a coaxing tone, he asked, "Tell me first why Xieman betrayed humanity, and why you wish to destroy this world…"

The Blood God Patriarch suddenly fell silent again.

Seeing this, Rhett's face darkened. Narrowing his eyes, he said coldly, "Has the Blood Demon Avatar been influencing you? No matter, there's no need to fear. Release it here, and I will destroy it!"
