Cathelaya's POV:
Sitting on one of the capital's walls, I wait patiently for them to return with the water hero. While it's true that I could simply destroy the capital and see his expression as he sees everything he loves destroyed... That wouldn't make me feel comfortable. I need him to see with his own eyes how everything around him is destroyed.
- Otherwise, I wouldn't feel satisfied with my revenge.
I lazily scan the landscape as something unusual appears in my view. Something that looks like a flower is slowly stretching above the ground, unsteadily, as it approaches my position. When it gets close enough, I can hear a voice.
- "Grandma! I'm here to help."
- Ohh, Nath! I thought you'd give up after they burned the entire forest surrounding the capital.
- "Sorry, Grandma. I know you're talking, but I can't hear you. My flowers only allow me to see you and transmit my voice through them."
With some sadness, I take the bouquet in my hands while I force the wind to hold the line in place.
- "I know this is your revenge, and I can't stop you from trying, but I won't allow you to die. I can't lose another member of my family."
I can't help but smile at little Nath's comment. I lovingly take the flowers in my lap.
- "Listen, Grandma, I need you to help me with something before the fight."
From the line of stems from which the flowers came, something resembling a flowerpot was clumsily climbing up it until it reached me. In it, I could see some strange-looking flowers. Three of them, to be exact.
I couldn't help but smile at the gift my little granddaughter had given me.
