Chapter 36 - 26: confrontations.

The day rolled by and eventually it came time for p.e, after a good sixty minutes of running drills the boys all went into the showers.

after drying off and putting back on his jeans

Jack ran his hands through his hair and noticed it was still a bit wet, so he grabbed his towel and dry'd off a little more...

"Hey, turner-" a voice called out to him from the other side of the room.

Jack looked, his bangs fell into his left eye.

"What's up?"

Jimmy reed.

The captain of the football team and a few of his buddies were walking straight up to him,

His face filled with jealousy and envy.

"I heard Lisa's been dating you, that true."

Jack shrugged non chilantly.

"Yeah, what about it."

He came a bit closer.

"Well... I need you to break up with her."

He rested his hand on his shoulder for a second. "What?"

"You heard me, Break up with her."

Suddenly he was pinned against the locker.

"I've been wanting that girl for years... I've tried every way I can, and you stole her from right out under me."

"I heard she rejected you four times in a row."

The boys in the locker began to laugh a little, Jack smirked a little. "Didn't she call you a wanna-be flash tomson? Or something... No-"

Jack looked even more smug, even though he was the one who was in the compromising position. "She called you a dumb ass simp who can't take no for an answer."

Jimmy's face became blood red, he was about to draw back and punch Jack, but his friend stopped him. "Yo! Jim I know your mad but, this isn't the place... Besides... You know the rumors about him."

His faced changed.

He quickly withdrew his hand and backed away, but still looked a bit angry.

"This isn't over turner... "

They walked away, but Jack could here his friends say "if your gonna nail the guy then at least do it with us and a few other guys, remember... He hospitalisd a guy once-"

Jack stood there listening to what he sed, part of him thought how stupid that guy was to say that in front of him, but also...

He rembered what he was talking about, it happened on that day.

Jack and his grandfather got in his grandpa's old silver car and drive put on there seatbelts, the old man turned the key and let the car heat up, it was January, it was so cold you can see the vapor coming out of there mouths and nostrils as they breathed.

There was silence for a few moments, Jack looked at his grandfather awkward, his face had a few bumps and bruises from the fight he had earlier.

Jack wanted to say something, he opened his mouth but nothing would come out.

"Jack... " His grandpa finally spoke up.

"I'm vary disappointed in you."

"... I'm.. sorry-"

"Sorry doesn't cut it."

He looked over at him.

His expression was the kinda look you never wanna see your parents giving you, he looked at him as if he killed a man, which...

He nearly did.

"I... "

"I know that kid had been bothering you for years, I know... He was a punk, but you went too far. Your lucky his parents doesn't press charges and send you juvie for who knows how long."

The old man rubbed his temple for a moment. "I taught you kickboxing so you can defend yourself, not take revenge."

"But Grandpa-"

"No Jack! What you did was wrong and you know it... If God were to ask you if what you did was right, what would you tell him? Would you try and justify your actions?'

The boy sed nothing.

"Exactly."

The car went in reverse, then forward turning left, then they left the parking lot of the school. Jack starred out the window, trying to process everything.
