Kyle was astonished because he was standing in front of someone he had no business getting involved with, as the person who stepped out of the car was none other than Cleopatra.
There was no logical reason for her to be here whatsoever, but here she was, in the flesh.
The first thought that came to his mind was Ella's safety, because what if Cleopatra planned to hurt her? He wouldn't put it past her to do something that extreme.
"What are you doing here?" Kyle asked, clearly feeling threatened, but Cleopatra didn't give him a verbal response.
She looked right in the direction where Kyle's attention was a few minutes ago and just smirked.
"I'm sure you're aware your life belongs to me out here," Cleopatra said, but Kyle knew he had to be careful.
The situation had changed completely, but what was more pressing was the fact that Cleopatra might have been the one sending him messages.
Why would she have any reason to do something like that in the first place?
