Delilah's Point Of View
I couldn't stop trembling, as I sat in the basement, trying not to focus on the chaos raging about outside of the house I had been imprisoned in. The four men standing guard within the room, were looking more and more restless, the longer the noise persisted.
I had long since abandoned any thoughts about my future and survival. The only thing that I could do was pray that Remmy would escape from Rahzden, find a safe place to grow up, and acquire true happiness.
As much as I didn't want to return to Rahzden and his facility, I also didn't want misfortune to befall the residents of this estate, either. Even though they had every right to end my life, and be done with me. Instead, they had chosen to give me the option to determine my own future, and designated a portion of their men and servants to look after me... Even though it didn't benefit them in any way.
