"Sir, is it a wise decision for you to personally head this mission?" Abehl asked, nervously.

"Yeah, it'll be fine. Aahjinn can handle things in my absence... Don't sweat it." I replied with a shrug.

Truthfully, I knew Aahjinn would probably struggle without me around, but I also knew Gaibe was just as worried about Ferdinand's situation, as I was. I had been having an ominous feeling about the government's choice of actions, ever since the beginning of their untimely assault.

There was no way I could stand idly by in Mezz'Fayeha, and leave the unforeseeable outcome to someone else. I wouldn't be satisfied, unless I personally involved myself in this scuffle. Furthermore, the lackadaisical manner in which the government had approached our Duhtchy, was also extremely disconcerting to me.

I knew it was foolish to feel slighted at their supposed disinterest, but I couldn't help it. It was like a slap in the face, and I was a fairly petty man.
