Continuance threshold is best at survival which helps to function body even bypassing limits.
Deferred Mortality is more like a last stand attributes which come handy in a lot of high ranking and desperate battles.
Blake read them all and thought and started contemplating which Attributes to choose from. He thought about all the abilities pros and con's and untimely decided to choose Continuance threshold.
He is going to try to win or kill someone he is trying to survive so it seems perfect attributes for long term survival.

He read the attributes he was shocked to find that he can see cracks in reality which he is not expecting because he didn't knew what that meant and second one seemed a little odd for a relic giving attributes to help in lying.
But the attributes description the system gives are only the basic there are many abilities as the Eye of rupture had absorbed eyes of truth so it should also have abilities in attributes related to it.
