Chen Xinyu's Ordeal
On the early morning of July 7th, Chen Xinyu returned to her hotel room, 809, after filming. She woke up at 1 PM that afternoon to find her social media feed buzzing with discussions about people turning into zombies. An actress from the same crew, a minor celebrity, messaged her, warning that someone in the hotel lobby had become a zombie and it was extremely dangerous to go out. Terrified, Chen Xinyu didn't dare leave her room.
She tried calling the police, but the line was constantly busy; she wasn't the only one desperate for help. Police forces everywhere were stretched thin, with many areas under zombie attack.
It wasn't until yesterday that Chen Xinyu became so hungry she decided to risk going to the fifth-floor restaurant for food. She was truly starving, believing she'd die of hunger if she stayed put. There, she found three zombies wandering around. Chen Xinyu was shocked to recognize one of them as the very actress who had warned her not to leave. My God, why did she come down? Chen Xinyu thought. She must have been starving too!
Terrified, Chen Xinyu hid behind a table. The three zombies roamed back and forth in the restaurant, and Chen Xinyu shivered. As one zombie approached her hiding spot, her face turned pale with fear. In her anxiety, she remembered something she'd read online: zombies were sensitive to sound and could be lured away. So, Chen Xinyu quickly pulled out her phone, turned on some music, and threw it. Hearing the music, the approaching zombie roared and moved toward the sound. Chen Xinyu seized the opportunity to sprint back to room 809.
Another day passed, and Chen Xinyu was ravenous. She hadn't eaten in two days, surviving only on some fruit oranges she'd brought back from the crew and a bit of water. Lying on the pristine white quilt in her room, her slender legs looking particularly charming, she stared blankly at the ceiling. "What should I do?" she mumbled to herself. "There are zombies outside, and I don't have the strength to run now. I might be killed. But if this goes on, I'll starve to death."
Knock, knock, knock.
A sudden knock startled Chen Xinyu. She sat bolt upright in bed, thinking, Could it be the zombies?
Immediately afterward, Yuqi's voice came through the door: "Xinyu, are you in there?"
Hearing the familiar voice, Chen Xinyu was overcome with excitement and quickly got up. Her body was a little weak from two days without food. Through the peephole, Chen Xinyu saw Yuqi outside and happily opened the door.
The door swung open, and Chen Xinyu noticed a handsome man standing beside Yuqi. Seeing that Chen Xinyu was safe and sound, Yuqi excitedly opened her arms and hugged her. "Great, you're okay!"
"Oops!" Chen Xinyu staggered and almost fell. Fortunately, Yuto Saito reacted quickly, supporting her slender waist. The scene was heartwarming: Yuqi and Chen Xinyu embraced, Chen Xinyu losing her balance, and Yuto Saito's right hand steadying her by the waist. Yuto Saito, who could have used his telekinetic power, instinctively reached out to support her. He looked at Chen Xinyu's delicate and pitiful face, feeling a pang of sympathy.
Chen Xinyu looked at Yuto Saito with her beautiful, expressive eyes, which were very captivating. "Thank you, handsome guy," she said softly.
Yuto Saito smiled. "You're welcome."
"Xinyu, I sent you so many messages, why didn't you reply?" Yuqi asked.
"I lost my phone," Chen Xinyu said, embarrassed.
"Huh?" Yuqi was taken aback. "Your phone is so important, how could you lose it?"
Chen Xinyu explained, "I was so hungry last night that I nearly fainted. I wanted to go to the fifth-floor restaurant to find some food. There were three zombies there, so I hid behind a table. Later, a zombie came close to me. I was afraid of being bitten, so I just turned on the music on my phone and threw the phone out to distract them."
"So that's what happened," Yuqi understood, hugging Chen Xinyu again and saying sympathetically, "You've suffered so much. Fortunately, you're all right."
"Why are you here?" Chen Xinyu asked.
Yuqi smiled. "We came specifically to find you! Fortunately, your phone is powerful and still had battery."
Yuto Saito took a shredded pork loaf and a bottle of milk from his storage ring. "Eat this first," he said. "I'll go find your phone for you."
"Thank you! Thank you, handsome guy!" Chen Xinyu stared at Yuto Saito, her heart beating faster.
Yuto Saito walked toward the elevator.
Chen Xinyu, holding the bread, completely ignored Yuqi and began to eat and drink the milk. She was far too hungry.
"Eat slowly; I still have a lot here," Yuqi offered.
"You do?" Chen Xinyu wondered. "I didn't see you bring anything."
Yuqi pointed to the ring on her left hand. "This is a storage ring. You can put things in it! I have a lot of delicious food inside." With that, Yuqi took out a banana and a watermelon.
"Wow, that's amazing!" Chen Xinyu had never seen a storage ring and was utterly astonished.
Yuqi smiled. "Don't eat these for now. Come back with us later, and we'll take you for a big meal. There's a beautiful woman named Yun Yun on our team. She's an amazing cook."
After finishing the bread, Chen Xinyu felt much more energized and asked with great interest, "Yuqi, was that handsome guy your boyfriend?"
Yuqi shook her head. "No, he's my captain."
"Will it be dangerous for him to go find my phone alone?" Chen Xinyu asked.
Hearing this, Yuqi smiled. "You should be worried about whether the zombies will be in danger."
"Huh? Is he strong?" Chen Xinyu asked, dumbfounded.
"Very strong, unbelievably strong," Yuqi confirmed. "Let me put it this way: he killed two thousand zombies by himself this morning. It was amazing."
Chen Xinyu's beautiful eyes widened in shock. "One person killed two thousand zombies! His strength is terrifying."
"He also passed on his talent to me," Yuqi added. "I used to be just like you, an ordinary person. Now I can fly." With that, Yuqi used her flying ability, hovering in the air.
Seeing this, Chen Xinyu was stunned. "My God! Yuqi, you fly in the air like an angel, so beautiful."
Yuqi put away her flying ability, walked back to Chen Xinyu's side, and smiled. "If you do well, maybe you can gain abilities in the future too."
Chen Xinyu humbly asked for advice, "What should I do to become stronger?"
Yuqi teased, "Just try to please the captain."
Chen Xinyu asked timidly, "Do you have to... be with him?"
"Where did your mind go?" Yuqi said. "I've been on the team for so long, and nothing like that has happened. Our captain is very good, not as bad as you think."
Chen Xinyu smiled. "To be honest, he's very handsome. If he wanted to, I'd consider it."
Yuqi laughed. "Oh, I didn't realize you could be so open!"
Chen Xinyu gave a sweet smile. "It depends on who the target is. I'm attracted to good looks. Handsome guys get extra points from me, but they still have to make my heart flutter."
"Your idea is very reasonable," Yuqi said. "As for whether you can be appreciated by the captain, I don't know."
"Let's just focus on living for now," Chen Xinyu said, finishing her milk.
Yuqi was surprised. "Wow, you finished the bread and milk so fast!"
Chen Xinyu smiled. "It's mainly because I was too hungry."
At that moment, Yuto Saito entered the room, holding a mobile phone. "I found your phone, and I killed a few zombies along the way."
"Thank you, handsome guy!" Chen Xinyu was delighted.
Yuto Saito handed the phone to Chen Xinyu. "I wiped it with a tissue. When I got there, the music wasn't playing. Maybe when you threw the phone, the zombies stepped on it and hit the pause button."
Yuqi happily said, "No wonder it still had power today! So the zombies paused the music for you!"
Chen Xinyu took the phone, finally understanding why Yuto Saito had emphasized wiping it with a tissue.
Yuqi looked at Yuto Saito with her beautiful eyes and asked with a smile, "Captain, isn't my friend very beautiful?"
"She's okay, she's pretty," Yuto Saito replied.

Yuto Saito handed Chen Xinyu an ordinary ring. "Put your luggage in this ring and follow me."
"Okay," Chen Xinyu said, taking the ring. The moment she put it on, Chen Xinyu felt the storage space within and exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, this ring has such a function! It's amazing!"
Yuqi urged, "Hurry up and pack your clothes. We'll take you to a good place where you can have a big meal."
Having just eaten and regained some strength, Chen Xinyu quickly packed her luggage. Two minutes later, Yuto Saito used teleportation to bring Chen Xinyu and Yuqi back to the Floating Island. One second Chen Xinyu was still reeling from Yuto Saito's teleportation ability, and the next she saw a luxurious villa. She was completely dumbfounded.
Yuqi happily said, "How's this place? Isn't it great?"
"Yuqi, have you been living here since the end of the world?" Chen Xinyu asked.
"No," Yuqi replied. "I met three thugs, and the captain saved me."
