She hovered above its skull-like command node, her translucent, digital form glowing with icy blue light as data and weapon signatures flowed around her. Then, she summoned a holographic interface and with a single gesture, hijacked the planet's communication grid.
All across Xylos, on every screen, every radio, every secure channel... her voice echoed out. Calm, mechanical, yet disturbingly gentle.
"Greetings, inhabitants of Xylos," she said, with her voice cutting through the static of war like a whisper through glass.
While the tension on Xylos kept rising because of the sudden appearance of the Drone Carrier and the first encounter with the enemy forces, something even more serious was happening far away on the home planet of the Blood Clan.
