As soon as we opened the door, the Zharns rushed toward us. Among them stood a woman. She was old, with long gray hair. Her eyes were so gray I could barely see anything in them. She wore a gray outfit that flowed in the wind. A sound came from her mouth. It seemed like a song, but more like a cursed melody, like someone crying and wailing.
We lunged forward, attacking the Zharns at the mansion's door. I clawed one of them, then grabbed another by the mouth, splitting it open and tearing the whole Zharn in two before tossing it away. The others fought with just as much heat and strength.
Kaye and Penn had shifted. With Kaye being a massive, powerful wolf, he tossed Zharns aside as fast as they came.
While we fought, I noticed the gray woman was gone. I used my mermaid senses and picked up a sound from the second floor. I focused and realized there were screams up there. Someone must have come in through the back door and invaded the second floor.
