Chapter 27 - Planning and other interesting things

Planning and other interesting things

It was the middle of the night and the deep blue sky was now a dark cobalt instead of its tranquil light cerulean appearance in the day. A breeze moved through it and tried to reposition the clouds but the Azmin had locked them in place with their magic and their technology.

They sat placidly in a tight formation forming a vast continent of clouds, now above Sibba. The Azmin used nature and water magics to essentially knit the clouds together. They also had devices that were similar to anchors and resembled sails. They helped to anchor the position but could also be used to move the cloud continent if need be.

Rachel sat looking to a distant point, her focus inward, as she meditated on her day. She was working to calm her soul well. She had increased it multiple times then she bound her soul with another. She needed to spend time keeping it uniform and adherent.

Trannisa was a realm that helped to center its cosmos. It was not at the heart of or the center of the cosmos but it was the heart of and the central stabilizing component of the cosmos. Because of this its balance had a direct affect on their cosmos as a whole.

As her soul well restored itself and gently and steadily refilled she felt the others coming to sit around her. Her Atrunie - and Cramnal - had already been there. Now it was her siblings and Azmin guard commanders finding their places around her.

"Lady Rachel. There are many within the Azmin guard succumbing to these shocks. Is there anyway to stop them?"

Rachel did not open her eyes when she answered Yanira. "This is the residual left behind by the ailment that Smral released into the realm. It has a numbing quality but it no longer has any real affect. Allow them time to rest. Their bodies and souls need to realign. They will be fine."

Everyone's eyes moved to Smral. In response she smiled broadly. This made Struns roll his eyes and Rebecca smile broadly. She chuckled. "You should at least show a bit of shame."

Smral's smile fell and she frowned. "Really. I felt I gave an appropriate reaction."

"You did. For a pompous ass."

"Exactly. Wouldn't I be considered a bit pompous?"

"More than a bit."

Smral beamed with pride at Struns' reply.

Rachel continued. "The formation will distribute the healing. As it dissipates into the realm it releases what the realm needs for rebalancing."

She looked to Shain. "Is everything ready for this charade?"

Shain looked to Yanira and she nodded. "Yes My Lady. There will be a hearing and the outcome for Lord Shain will be Small Color and Althius and Sublyme will both be acquitted and allowed to return to The Conglomerate."

Rachel had never opened her eyes and she had, seemingly, never stopped meditating. She nodded in satisfaction. Smral was successful only because of the main imbalance caused by the Conglomerate.

She finally opened her eyes, cracked her neck, and looked out into the camp. She could feel that the camp was now more relaxed and subdued.

"There is a monument below us on a hill within the mid stage of the abyss."

Yanira looked to her. "Does the monument have some significance to the current situation?"

"Only that it seems unaffected and it is possibly Salmoon or a part of her."

No one had been moving as she spoke but all suddenly seemed to still. Rachel pretended not to notice.

"Mis will focus on the hill and alter below. Even now the Abyss is changing and becoming more unified with the realm. The rest of you get into teams. We will make sure that our actions have been sound and complete two sweeps of the upper realm.

"I will send out the spell weave in all directions and weave it so that it is sporadic in nature. The formation will add what is needed to address what is needed to continue balancing the realm and embed itself into my spellweave."

She looked at all of them wondering if anyone had any questions. Rebecca looked to her with a mischievous smile.

"May I ask what team Smral will be sent with?"

Rachel narrowed her eyes and smiled just as mischievously. "She will be with you of course. Choose the rest of your team well."

She stood and stretched. Rainbow sparks arching from her fingertips as they reached up toward the cobalt sky.

"I will start my weave now. It will take between ten and twelve hours to complete. Everyone get your groups ready. When we start we need to be prepared and make sure that the balance of the realm is truly sound."

Rachel moved to a high point above all the others and at the center of Sibba. She was about to begin weaving. The others were all working to put their teams together.

They had decided to separate into twelve teams, and were now pulling from the vast members of the guard and solidifying their teams.

None of them looked up as they felt power pool above them. They felt the swirl and flow of it and they felt the peace fill their souls as it formed and came into being.

Rachel was using sorcery to create the magic she needed. She was bringing forth combinations of color magic that many Azmin did not remember or use. She was partially guided by instinct and partially guided by the Milana soul.

She created and pooled a plethora of magic and it collected around her and patiently waited for her commands.

This process took her close to two hours. She rolled her neck and shoulders and began to weave.

She brought the magic up before her and began to direct it with runic, sorceric, and color and light magics. She told it all it needed to be. Strength, precision, capabilities, definitions, limitations, purposes, and more. She wrote it all on each stand and as each strand began to understand itself full it would enter into the weave and a harmony was struck that made the area hum.

She wove the weave tight in some places and loose in others. She coated some areas in sorcery and others in fate magic or knowledge magic. The weave slowly began to spread out all around her. Her focus was tight and purposeful.

She was meticulous and her spellweave was growing more powerful with each spell connection and runic weave.

She was going to ensure balance was woven and maintained. She was Milana and her breath was color but her heart and soul were balance.
