Making Decisions We Don't Like
The ground was undulating below the three Sphinx settlements. It was much worse in the circular walled city, which many Sphinx considered their main city, because many of the undulating tremors originated from there.
The tremors seemed to start from Shrams home to move out in rippling rings to the rest of the den.
Shram had been initially sullen and annoyed and did not want to help in anyway. He instinctively knew that this was Trannisa trying to force him into working with the Milana.
He had decided that working with the Milana would be bad for the Sphinxas a whole.
Maybe it was Roaln who decided and not Shram but at this point it was the same thing.
He was born the Diamond Sphinx. This had not happened in over a thousand years and the Sphinx were excited and proud about what this meant for them and their species.
