Three months passed by quickly. In those three months Tiran, Dylan's brother and the leader of the ancient vampires asked when Suzan would come to the royal vampire court over a dozen times.
For Suzan this was natural for the rest of them it was frightening. It was Dylan's plan to keep her at his estates for a year. After a year they would be married and then he would take her to court.
To make matters worse Dylan was continually called away to investigate more and more villages and towns for powerful human magic users. Each time Suzan wanted to go and each time she was told no. She was told it was not safe for her to travel. Once Dylan was gone emissaries from the king would come to take her to the capital. She would be hidden away and the emissaries would be lied to.
It was all so overwhelming and a bit ludicrous.
