All around the Eiffel Tower was a mess. The skeletons were scattered around, most of them had cracked bones, a sign that they were killed by a single blow from the vampires. There were very few signs of the use of vampire magic, not all of them left signs but they still existed.
From the Eiffel Tower there were metal parts which were stretched in a strange way to hit and impale the bodies of humans. Victor could tell immediately that many of these deaths were of many humans who could not defend themselves.
It was a total cold-blooded murder with the best possible resistance on the part of the humans who fled in terror. The scene of a peaceful afternoon turning into a hellish one flashed before Victor's eyes, leaving only this trace in the end.
"War is like that" Valery said "Even we had to eliminate a large part of the human population in order to keep it under control, it's the same thing vampires do when they conquer other territories."
