Victor woke up after two hours of sleep. His time with the nameless girl had been quite curious. She explained everything to him, and she herself was curious about him.
She asked him so many questions that it seemed more like she was interrogating him, but Victor couldn't help himself; his answers just came out of his mouth. For a moment, he thought he was being hypnotized, but that wasn't the case.
"I should have asked about her origins. She believes she is Valery's daughter and bears a striking resemblance to Valery, but who is she really?" Victor felt uncertain as he waited for Melissa, Stephen, and Darcy to go out to eat.
"Thank you, Victor, for waiting for us," Melissa said with a smile, her face now more colorful, looking as if she had completely recovered.
