Chapter 7 - Tour

Both Adam and Lilith were walking down the street, occasionally stopping at various locations. Adam focused more on the buildings and architecture than on the inhabitants, or at least he tried to. Most people were dressed provocatively or skimpy, walking as if it were completely normal, and it probably was for them.

Some modestly dressed individuals were also present, but it seemed they weren't used to the local style, so he assumed they were guests.

His gaze eventually returned to Lilith, who wore a brassiere-like top that revealed her supple breasts. She also wore black shorts that teased the edge of her plump buttocks. Without typical clothing covering her, her magnificent and shapely body was on display, inviting anyone to look.

Adam looked away and covered his face with his palm, his cheeks flushing. A few moments later, they stopped in front of a large building. It had three stories, painted in a pristine white and accented with gold. A large sign hung at its front, carved with symbols he didn't recognize.

'Ah, I forgot I didn't know the language," he thought as he stared at the sign.

"This is our first stop at a major location of Radius village. The Mother's Nest, our library and school. One of the three main buildings in each circle—the others being the church and the headquarters," Lilith said, gesturing toward the building.

"Ah," Adam nodded. Then he walked inside with Lilith.

'Wait a minute," he thought. 'If I don't understand the language, how can I communicate with these people?' Though he hadn't paid much attention before, he realized it was strange. Sometimes, their mouths moved differently from what they said.

[I translated their words so you could understand.]

'Ah. That makes sense, but why not translate the written words as well?" he asked.

[I am unable to change what you see, but I can give you the required knowledge to understand the language. Do you wish to do so?]

'Yes, thank you.' He needed knowledge to learn the customs of this world, and books were the fastest and easiest way—so he needed to be able to read.

[And I will do that for all other languages too.]

Suddenly, a flood of information poured into his mind, like water from a broken dam. Adam flinched, feeling a headache from the sudden surge of knowledge.

He looked at the sign again, now able to understand the language.

[Mother's Nest: Library and academy]

'Heh, how straightforward," he thought. The sign vanished from view as he entered the building.

A grand, beautifully crafted space opened up—exquisitely crafted tables and chairs, towering shelves filled with thousands of books, carefully arranged.

Two arches, one on the left and one on the right, led to lower and higher education academies.

Out of the left arch, many small children—around ten—rushed out, each wearing similar brown and gold uniforms. A group of five children came running towards them as they saw Lilith.

"Lilith!" a red-haired boy shouted.

"Lilly!" a blond girl followed.

They gathered around and hugged her. She returned their hugs eagerly, her usually cold expression turning cheerful.

"Ah~ So cute!" Lilith said with a giddy smile. "Has your training been going well?"

"Yup! My talent outshines everyone in class!" the redheaded boy said, holding his head high.

"Rion, are you sure about that?" the blond girl asked skeptically.

He flinched, and his proud smile froze. "Well!" he began, before the girl said anything he didn't want to hear, "I-I heard that Tianna has gotten better at using her origin, right, Hanna?"

The blond girl, Hanna, lit up. "Oh! Yes! It was awesome!"

"Is that true, Tianna?" Lilith asked, turning to Tianna, who didn't hear her because she was mesmerized by the silver-haired man in front of her.

The silver river flowing from his head to his waist, tied in a half-tail, the pool of gold in his eyes that reflecting like mirrors, took notice of the small girl. Adam smiled gently and knelt to pat her head.

The small girl, who looked like a smaller version of Adam, grinned widely, bright-eyed as she held the hand patting her head.

The two looked like long-lost relatives meeting for the first time in years, and they had the corresponding feeling brewing within them. Adam picked up Tianna and turned to the others, who looked at them dumb founded.

"What?" Adam asked, confused by their reactions.

While she and the children appeared bewildered, Lilith asked, "Do you two know each other?"

'No, right? That wouldn't make sense. But why would Tianna be so friendly? They even look related.'

The little Tianna shook her head. "No.", "This is the first time we are meeting," Adam replied.

Some modestly dressed persons were also there, though it seemed that they weren't as used to the dressing style of the area, so he assumed they were guests.

His gaze was eventually drawn back to Lilith, who wore a brassiere-like top that revealed her supple breasts. She also wore a pair of black shorts that teased the edge of her plump buttocks. Without the cover of typical clothing, her magnificent and shapely body was on display, inviting whoever to watch.

Adam looked away and covered his face, which had turned rosy, with his palm. A few moments later, the two stopped in front of a large building. It had three stories, painted in a pristine white, accented with gold. A large sign hung at its front, symbols that he did not know carved into it.

'Ah, I forgot that I didn't know the language.' He thought as he stared at the sign.

"This is our first stop at a major location of Radius village. The Mother's Nest, our library and school. One of the three buildings that at least one of exists in each circle. The others being the church and headquarters." Lilith said as she gestured toward the building.

"Ah." Adam nodded. Then he walked with Lilith into the building.

'Wait a minute.' He thought. 'If I don't understand the language, how am I able to communicate with these people?' Though he did not pay it much attention before, he knew it was strange. At times, their mouth moved differently from what they were saying.

[I translated their words for you to understand.]

'Ah. That makes sense, but why not translate the written words as well?' He asked.

[I am unable to change what you see, but I am able to give you the required knowledge to understand the language. Do you wish to do so?]

'Yes, thank you.' He needed knowledge to learn the common practices of this world, and books were the quickest and easiest option at the moment, so he needed to be able to read.

[I will also do the same for all other languages.]

Suddenly, a large amount of information entered his head, flooding it like water from a broken dam. Adam flinched slightly as he was struck by a headache, caused by the sudden rush of knowledge.

He looked at the sign once again, now with an understanding of the language.

[Mother's Nest: Library and academy]

'Heh, how straightforward.' He thought. The sign quickly disappeared from view as he walked through the door, entering the building.

A large, magnificent area presented itself, exquisitely crafted tables and chairs dotted the place, towering shelves containing thousands, tens of thousands of books placed carefully.

Two arches placed to the left and right of the building, each leading to lower and higher education academies, respectively.

Out of the left arch, many small children, around ten, rushed out, each wearing similar brown and gold uniforms. A group of five children came running towards them as they saw Lilith.

"Lilith!" A red-haired boy shouted.

"Lilly!" A blond-haired girl followed.

The children gathered around and hugged her. She returned the hug enthusiastically, her cold expression at some point turning cheerful.

"Ah~ So cute!" Lilith said with a giddy smile. "Has your training been going well?"

"Yup! My talent outshines everyone in class!" The red-haired boy said, holding his head high.

"Rion, are you sure about that?" The blond girl said, looking at him skeptically.

He flinched, and his prideful smile froze. "Well!" He spoke before the girl said anything he didn't want to be spoken, "I-I heard that Tianna has gotten better at using her origin, Right Hanna?"

The blond girl, Hanna's face lit up, "Oh! Yes! It was awesome!"

"Is that true, Tianna?" Lilith turned to Tianna, who didn't hear her as she was mesmerized by the silver-haired man in front of her.

The silver river flowing from his head to his waist tied in a half-tail, the pool of gold in his eyes that reflected like mirrors, took notice of the small girl. Adam smiled gently and knelt down to pat her head.

The small girl who looked like a smaller version of Adam had a wide grin on her face, smiling brightly as she held the hand patting her head.

The two looked like long-lost relatives meeting for the first time in years, and they had the corresponding feeling brewing within them. Adam picked up Tianna and turned to the others, who looked at them dumb founded.

"What?" Adam said as the duo looked in confusion.

While she and the children held baffled faces, Lilith asked, "Do you two know each other?"

'No right? I would make no sense, but why would Tianna be so friendly? They even look related.'

The little Tianna shook her head, "No.", "This is the first time we are meeting." Adam continued.
