I write to confess the unspoken,

The unheard rhymes, the broken.

I write to confess that I care,

Even when I have nobody to share.

I write to confess that I'm weak—

Not physically, but mentally sick.

I write to confess that I'm in pain,

Afraid of being abandoned again.

I write to confess my love unsaid,

Kept a secret inside my head.

I write to confess I'm all alone,

Depressed enough to turn to stone.

I write to confess I want to hold on—

To something, someplace, a comfort zone.

I write to confess I long for death,

Behind each moment, in every breath.
