I wanted to forget that face,
So much that I detached myself—
From friends, from family,
And eventually, from myself.
The classroom still echoed her voice,
So I abandoned my dreams.
I went as far as my eyes could see,
As far as my mind could blur.
I erased every known trace,
Every picture, every scribble, every art—
Until all that was left
Was just me and the void of emptiness.
The world became a stranger,
And I promised myself
Never to walk
That same road again.
