Long since the dawn of human civilization,
We have waged wars, burned houses,
Turned lands into piles of dust and rubble,
All in the name of freedom.
But are we really free?
Do we ask that question,
Or do we just—simply—move on,
And continue our folly?
Some claim to speak the truth,
While others claim they lie.
But how can we, as mere humans,
Know the difference between them?
Either can be true; either can be false,
You just need to evaluate the intel,
According to your own memorandum.
Right or wrong, is a difference of opinion.
I do believe in the evidence of humanity,
Where every voice is free,
And you are valued not after death,
But in the present, as you live and breathe.
