"Leftovers never taste as good as returning to the old flames," Huo Mutian implied with some intent. "Don't you think, little beauty?"

Suddenly put on the spot, Wen Qiao paused, set her cup down on the table, and replied deflectively, "I've never had leftovers; I can't comment on them."

"But going back to old flames really is quite delicious," she added.

Her simple sentence noticeably diminished the coldness in Fu Jinghen's eyes and earned her a disdainful look from Huo Mutian.

Wen Qiao tugged at Fu Jinghen's sleeve and whispered to him, "Let's eat together. We're already halfway through our meal, switching rooms now would be a hassle."

Fu Jinghen looked at her, seemed to think of something, and nodded, "Alright."

Wen Qiao moved to sit next to Fu Jinghen, leaving Huo Mutian sitting alone.

The dishes that Wen Qiao and Fu Jinghen had ordered weren't many, and most of them had already been eaten. Fu Jinghen pushed the menu towards her, "Order whatever you want."
