"Who's there?" she exclaimed in a low voice, warily looking around.
The corner of the backyard was planted with a few Xiangfei Bamboos. Now, their shadows swayed and the bamboo leaves rustled in the wind.
"Come out," Feng Yueya said, staring at that spot.
Sure enough, a figure emerged from behind the bamboo, his face gradually coming into view in the moonlight.
Flaming red robes, bewitchingly beautiful.
"It's you!" Feng Yueya was surprised. How could it be Yun Shangshu?
"Hadn't you returned to the North Imperial City already?"
Yun Shangshu did not answer her question; instead, he approached her, his long eyelashes shadowing the glow in his eyes.
"Xiao Tong, this king asks you, what exactly were those medicines you had me take initially?" he asked as he walked closer.
The faint cold smile at the corner of his mouth was even chillier than the moonlight.
"Ah?" Feng Yueya's gaze flickered several times.
"They were just the medicine to suppress the Demon Poison, weren't they?"
