Having gained nothing, Tang Xiaohua walked back. Wen Nian leaned against the car door, illuminated by a streetlight that cast a long, slanting shadow across him.

Tang Xiaohua looked at him and laughed.
He reached out to her, asking her what made her laugh.
Tang Xiaohua shook her head, and one after another, they got into the car. Wen Nian sat right beside Tang Xiaohua, who hurried to switch seats, but Wen Nian firmly grasped her hand.
She didn't dare make a noise, fearful that the driver would notice.
