Su Mo tightly clasped Lu Chen's hand, fingers interlocking, asserting her sovereignty.
"Which shop does that Fatty frequent?"
"The one at the end," Bai Shitong pointed ahead.
As Su Mo pulled Lu Chen along following him, what surprised her was that these couldn't really be called... women. To call them girls was more fitting; they looked like emaciated teenagers who hadn't yet turned 18.
For a moment, Su Mo's heart tightened. The expressions on the girls' faces were uniformly numb, and mechanical smiles appeared whenever they looked at men.
Standing at the doorway, Bai Shitong blushed and hesitated to enter, simply looking up hopefully at Su Mo.
Su Mo took Lu Chen to a corner, shielding them from the view of strangers, and handed the boy several packs of little bear cookies, stuffing them all into his hands, "Put these inside your clothes, and don't get caught."
