The wedding banquet ended.
Sheng Chuyi carried the drunken Shen Zhaozhao from the car and held her all the way back to their new bedroom.

"Zhaozhao?" Sheng Chuyi placed her on their bridal bed and gently called out.

"Hmm!" Fortunately, Shen Zhaozhao didn't make a fuss while drunk; she sat obediently, letting Sheng Chuyi remove her elaborate hair ornaments and her wedding gown.
"Just wait for me a bit more." Having said that, Sheng Chuyi went to the bathroom, brought back a basin of warm water, carefully wiped off her makeup with a cotton pad soaked in makeup remover, and finally washed her face with the warm water before helping her lie down on the bed.
