The rod was quite flexible, the water too deep, and teasing it was met with some resistance. Simple teasing didn't reveal anything unusual.
Just when he thought he was being pranked, the tip of the rod suddenly dipped slightly as if a scarf had caught on something, giving him that kind of illusion.
This feeling was different from hooking a fish at the bottom; fish usually swim rapidly and quickly try to flee, pulling on the line, whereas now, after the dip of the rod, there was no clear feeling of the line being tugged.
"Is there resistance? You might have a crab. Try reeling in the line and see," Ivan chimed in with a timely reminder.
Lin Yang muttered to himself, worrying that the line might be snagged on the bottom. With a bit of uncertainty, he began reeling in.
Though quite heavy, it wasn't snagged. The fishing rig was gradually pulled up by Yue Feng.
