Ruiz is well-informed over there, and the news from the 911 emergency center reached him within a few hours. There must be someone from NYPD tipping him off, and they even recognized the identity of the deceased gang member.
Jimmy looked at the time, continued making breakfast, and when Nia finished washing up and changing clothes, Jimmy discussed the case Ruiz mentioned while eating breakfast with Nia.
Nia: "Is this person related to your case?"
Jimmy: "Yes, it's someone from the same mafia family as the victim of the previous arson and murder case."
Nia: "Then I'll go to the police station to help you check it out."
Jimmy: "I'll go with you, and meanwhile, I'll check with the officer on duty last night about the situation at the crime scene."
After breakfast, Jimmy and Nia filled their travel mugs with coffee and left the apartment.
