Jimmy was now wearing casual clothes, carrying only a Glock and a magazine tucked into his waistband without a holster. This made him look more like a gang member than a Federation agent. Steven was the same. After they controlled the person in the surveillance room, they were relatively safe.
It had been safe here for so long that everyone had let their guard down. When Jimmy and Steven broke into the surveillance room, the person inside hadn't even realized they weren't his own people and was easily subdued.
