Though it was cold in winter, the county government office was lively.
A large pot was set up in the courtyard of the government office, where steaming horse meat was being cooked. Most of the town's people had come over, smiling and waiting for the new emperor's ascension, followed by a general amnesty, and enjoying soup and meat.
In the main hall of the county government, Wei Youcai looked radiant, as if he had become a year younger. Surrounded by his two brothers and eight farmers, he ascended the hall and approached the grand seat.
Wei Youcai adjusted his modified Dragon Robe Kasaya, casually rolling up the sleeves, feeling comfortable, and then slowly sat down on the grand seat.
Once seated, Wei Youcai wriggled this way and that, using his backside to gauge the entire chair surface, then pondered aloud, "This chair is neither warm nor cold, and doesn't feel uncomfortable... Is there no master for this seat?"
