Above the Heavenly Vault, Qili Zaiyi suddenly looked up and noticed strands of Black Qi falling down, all the karma coming from the Immortal Heaven.
Just now, he struck in anger, originally to vent his fury, but all was dispersed by those strange Qingming devices, turning one bolt of thunder into hundreds of lightning strikes, greatly weakening the power, with mortal soldiers suffering casualties of just around a hundred.
Qili Zaiyi initially intended to annihilate tens of thousands with one blow, to display divine might and completely crush the Qingming Army's morale, and he was prepared to bear the karmic consequences.
Yet reality was that few were killed, but the karma equaled that of tens of thousands, as if he had committed massive slaughter.
Qili Zaiyi was greatly bewildered, looking down only to find that the Qingming Soldiers all had faint Formation lights on them, previously obscured by Military Qi and difficult to detect.
