A Qi Army fierce general, standing a full two feet taller than his peers around the command banner, watched as tens of thousands of Qi Army soldiers left their fortifications, charging toward Xiao Yao Valley.
The cannon fire raged in Xiao Yao Valley, flames soaring into the sky. The Qi Army's artillery continued to bombard until the infantry closed within a hundred yards before ceasing fire.
Observing the power of the artillery, the General nodded, saying, "Our Great Qi... Tang's artillery training level is unmatched in the world. Merely the coordination of heavy artillery and infantry is unparalleled! Under this round of bombardment, even Zhen Mountain Army, if they were iron-bodied, would be crushed!"
The deputy generals on either side immediately said, "General Pei has never been defeated, and this battle will certainly be another easy victory!"
