Seeing this, just as Ais was about to rush out to help, Reiger took action first.

In the piercing sound of the wind, Reiger accelerated instantly from a standstill to the point where even after-images couldn't be seen. Carrying the howling gale and even a gust of impact wind, he rushed into the group of man-eating flower monsters, blowing away rubble fragments as he went.
"Slash!"
A flash-like slash appeared in front of the leading man-eating flower monster, cutting it along with its wildly waving tentacles into two halves.
"Whooooooo——!"
The man-eating flower monster closest to him reacted first, angrily opening its jaws at Reiger, dripping with slime, trying to bite him to pieces with its sharp teeth.
Reiger, however, ignored this man-eating flower monster and continued to dash forward along with his charging momentum.
