Their destination was the rooftop garden of that detached villa.
It was nearly as high as the palace on the forty-something floor, surrounded by several tall towers, with stone slabs covering the ground seamlessly.
Those stone slabs seemed to be made of special minerals, and when bathed in the moonlight hanging high in the night sky, they emitted a faint, pale halo.
Then, at the center of such a rooftop garden, an altar surrounded by long stone pillars absorbed the moonlight, radiating an especially intense glow.
