The arrows spread out before him, either turning automatically or detouring, tracing unbelievable trajectories and shooting towards Reiger from all directions.

Just as the swarm of arrows was about to hit Reiger, their speed suddenly slowed, becoming progressively slower, until they were just inches from Reiger's body, where they froze and could move no further.
