"Chu Yuxiao!" Su Yan called out excitedly, running towards him and hugging him from behind in one swift motion.
"You scared me to death, I smelled blood and thought something had happened to you. Fortunately, fortunately you're alright..."
Emotionally clutching him, Su Yan's arms tightened increasingly, and her face was buried in his back, incessantly inhaling his scent.
He always had a faint scent of mint on him, which was comforting and reassuring.
After hugging him for a while, Su Yan felt something was off. She loosened her grip slightly and asked with concern, "What's wrong? Why won't you turn around to look at me? Are you hurt?"
As she spoke, she began to let go to check for any injuries.
Chu Yuxiao suddenly grabbed her hands, urging her to keep embracing him, "Don't move, I'm fine. Just hold me like this, for a little while longer."
Su Yan grew even more puzzled, "What on earth is wrong?"
"I'm fine," he replied softly.
