Chapter 8 - 008 Some girls just don't love themselves

Fang Xin's face darkened further upon hearing the words.

Sister? When he was on top of her, why didn't he say he considered her like a sister?

She sobbed and whimpered,

"Brother Ziran, I really like you. I don't mind sneaking around with you. I've never thought about ruining your relationship with your sister. Brother Ziran, don't ignore me... sob sob sob..."

Clearly, her words had a significant effect on the man.

Who wouldn't want to be everything to a woman? Whether he liked her or not wasn't the point; what mattered was that this woman was willing to risk life and death for him.

Fang Xin fully satisfied the man's vanity.

Sure enough, Qin Ziran softened once again,

"Let me explain everything to Ah Mi first, then we can discuss our matters."

The sound of Qin Ziran picking up his car keys came through the phone. He prepared to drive to the rescue center to find Hua Mi.

At this time, Hua Mi was already waiting by nightfall at the entrance of the water plant.

She quickly dismissed Fang Xin and Qin Ziran from her mind, lying in the driver's seat, carefully studying why she sold 10,000 bottles of mineral water, yet had no money in the apocalypse supermarket: Cashier System.

In the rearview mirror, car lights illuminated as several cars orderly parked behind Hua Mi's truck.

Hua Mi lazily tilted her head, gazing at the wide rearview mirror, watching people step out from the cars.

She learned from their conversations that they weren't a group, but had rushed from various parts of Xiang City to buy water.

Because mineral water near their homes had risen to thirty a bottle.

A group walked past Hua Mi's large truck to the tightly locked entrance of the water plant, where the guard waved from the security room,

"We're off duty, we're off duty. We're already off duty."

The group of people buying water sighed.

But soon, some found picnic mats, and others pulled out tents from their cars, preparing to wait overnight for the gate to open.

Someone shouted at the water plant guard:

"Sir, we're sitting here waiting for you to open the gate tomorrow. If we can't buy water, we're not leaving."

The water plant guard faced such a situation for the first time and quickly opened the window, sticking his head out to ask,

"Why do you insist on buying water? We're a water plant, we don't sell retail, you see?"

The guard pointed to Hua Mi's large truck,

"Those who come to our plant to buy water drive large trucks like this, purchasing thousands of bottles at once. How much can you buy? Waiting at our plant's entrance isn't appropriate."

He repeatedly emphasized that the water plant did not sell retail.

Those prepared to wait all night for the plant to open murmured amongst themselves before gathering around Hua Mi's truck.

Someone knocked on Hua Mi's truck window, stunned to see a young girl, thinking, is such a young and beautiful girl driving a truck? Does she have an A license?

Soon, they put those thoughts aside, and a burly man started talking to Hua Mi anxiously,

"Miss, our neighborhood is right next to the one that collapsed in the quake. It seems to have broken our underground water pipes. We don't even have tap water."

"Miss, that guard said the water plant doesn't sell retail. Do you have any water here? We'll buy from you, how about 5 a bottle?"

"Sure."

Hua Mi replied readily, agreeing effortlessly to 5 a bottle,

"How many bottles do you need?"

The counterpart didn't expect Hua Mi to agree so quickly, and the group outside the car fell into silence for a moment.

The burly man talking with Hua Mi spoke first,

"Well, it's not easy for someone as young as you to haul goods like this, I'll buy 1000 bottles."

He was kind-hearted, not believing the disaster would last long, initially planning to buy a few cases of mineral water as a backup.

But considering it was tough for Hua Mi too, with the night so dark, letting a young girl endure like this, what's wrong with letting her earn thousands more?

Looking at the genuine kindness in the man's eyes, Hua Mi couldn't help but smile. She opened the truck door and said to the burly man,

"Believe me, you won't regret your choice today."

With that, she moved to the rear carriage, while out of everyone's sight, transferred 5,000 bottles of mineral water from her Level 2 storage by thought.

She then addressed the approaching group of men,

"Cash on delivery, pay and carry, buy as much as you can move."

The man who wanted 1000 bottles stepped up first, scanned to pay, and started loading boxes of waters onto his rear seat.

Since he specifically drove a cargo vehicle over to buy water today, he could load 1000 bottles of mineral water.

He worked busily, while the people behind lined up, waiting to scan and buy water.

But Hua Mi was frozen in the truck's rear carriage, her cashier system had registered the income.

Current balance: 5007.00 yuan

What the hell, this stupid cashier system insisted Hua Mi had to store goods into the Level 2 storage first, then take them out to sell, to credit her account.

Otherwise, no matter how much water Hua Mi sold, the cashier system refused to acknowledge it.

"I'll buy 200 bottles."

The second man stood outside the carriage, sizing up Hua Mi.

Seemed to gauge why someone as beautiful as Hua Mi was doing this.

Hua Mi shot the second man a look, stopped cursing the cashier system internally, and promptly collected money, selling water.

The group of men finished moving the water they bought, and daylight nearly broke.

The last man in line stood before Hua Mi, glancing back, finding most of the cars behind left already,

"Hand over the money."

He spoke softly.

Hua Mi was playing a matching game on her phone, his voice was so low she didn't even lift her eyelid to ask,

"What? Say that again?"

"I said, hand over the money to me!"

The leather-clad man grabbed the truck carriage, reaching to pinch Hua Mi's ankle.

Such a young and pretty girl, here in the wild, driving such a large truck, it seemed out of place.

Could she be selling herself? There was a possibility.

Some girls lacked self-respect, flagging down drivers on the road, climbing into any man's car.

So Hua Mi could have been brought here by a cargo truck driver to such a secluded place.

What the truck driver went off to do, who cares? Anyway, the night was long, only Hua Mi was seen selling water, that truck driver never appeared.

The leather-clad man noticed earlier Hua Mi sold a lot of water, making at least tens of thousands from 5 a bottle.

The money tempted the man in leather.

If he could rob Hua Mi's cash and take the remaining water in the truck too.

After all, this place was isolated.
