"King Caius," Linkir called, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"You don't need to think too hard about this ,not yet. We're here to discuss, aren't we?" she said calmly. Her gaze was sharp but her brows relaxed, her tone devoid of warmth. To her, Caius was still nothing more than a servant, one she could command and take control of.
That realization struck deep. The Dreadborne Organization clearly had its own secrets, ones that even he, as king, was far from uncovering.
"All right," Linkir continued, a faint smile forming. "As I said, we need the organizations to join hands. So, how about we organize something… for the Federation. Something similar to your recruitment drives — but much larger, and open to every faction."
Caius's mind raced. He tried to predict where she was going with this.
