Third person's POV
Derek's heart skipped a beat and the smile he had on, instantly vanished. The person who just entered was Gideon, one of the workers from the cleaning and maintenance department.
"Wh... What are you talking about?" Derek lifted his chin sharply, pretending to have no idea of what the other man was referring to.
However, his heart pounded as he desperately hoped his secrets weren't out in the open, already.
A smirk quickly made its way onto Gideon's face, making Derek furrow his eyebrows wryly.
"Ah, don't feign ignorance now, Derek." Gideon said and let out a mocking chuckle.
Derek gritted his teeth for a second before exhaling deeply. Then he walked closer to the man, his voice dropping to a whisper.
"What do you think you know about my scheme?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"What do you think I know?" Gideon countered, his voice slightly raised.
