"Howdy , Roomies!"
Enid Sinclair, in all her colorful glory. Blonde hair with blue and pink highlights at the tips and bright blue eyes that looked around curiously. Her nails were a rainbow of colors, and she was dressed in an oversized pink sweater and jeans.
"OH EM GEE! We have a mansion! It's beautiful! Although... it lacks some color! A little monotonous, but still amazing! I don't mean it's ugly; I just think it's not my style. I have a room?! Can I decorate it however I want?! I have an excellent idea, and I need lots of colors; it will look sensational! I can't wait!!"
She was a werewolf; I felt a pang of annoyance just thinking about it, but I squashed it immediately. She wasn't Lupin, and she never would be. Enid's gaze turned to us, almost euphoric.
"Ah! I almost forgot! Enid Sinclair at your service! An 18-year-old werewolf and finally able to transform! And now with a pack! You guys! Nice to meet you!"
"A pleasure to meet you, Miss Sinclair. I am Lucius Malfoy. This is my fiancée, Narcissa Black; her sister, Bellatrix Black, and Bellatrix's fiancée, our 'contractor', Serena Prince." Lucius stepped forward and introduced us all. Enid gasped.
"Harry Potter! Can you use magic? Can I use magic?!" Enid asked excitedly before stopping and clearing her throat. "I mean, nice to meet you all, call me Enid!" Enid repeated, finally taking a step forward.
"It's a pleasure to have Enid. As Lucius said, I'll introduce myself, I'm Serena, I'm-"
"My partner!" Enid interrupted, and I stopped to look at her. Enid had a huge smile on her face.
"-I'm... you what?" I asked awkwardly.
"My partner! Wife! Girlfriend! Partner! Whatever you want to call it!" Enid said with a massive smile before looking me up and down appreciatively. "And it looks like I won the lottery!" I shuddered slightly.
"Serena." And now I shuddered once again, but for a different reason. I looked at Bellatrix, who had a murderous expression on her face.
"Ahem, Enid, it was nice meeting you, but we have things to do," Lucius said quickly.
"Let's talk later, Enid, I want to make an appointment!" Narcissa said, and both bastards ignored my pleading look and quickly left the room, leaving me alone with a cheerful Enid and a murderous Bellatrix.
"N-now, Bella, let's calm down," I said carefully with a nervous smile.
"Oh, you're Serena's wife too! Nice to meet you, sis! I always wanted a sister! I've only ever had brothers, like, a lot of brothers, and they were all idiots!" Enid added as she walked over to Bellatrix. Enid was significantly shorter than Bellatrix, by almost 6 inches, and definitely shorter than me by over 8 inches. Yet she stood her ground by Bellatrix's side and even hugged her. Bellatrix looked surprised. "Don't worry, I won't take her from you! You arrived first, so you have priority. I'll join you when you're both comfortable. My wolf can wait!" Enid said confidently as she pulled away from her. Bellatrix wrinkled her nose.
"You seem… awfully accommodating." Bellatrix said slowly. Enid hummed.
" Mmm, it might be something they did to me at The Company, I know they messed with my head, but I don't know how much. I only have basic information about it." Enid said happily, as if she didn't care what she was going to say. Bellatrix opened her eyes slightly and looked at me incredulously.
"Is this how I would end up if you had sealed me without the contract?" Bellatrix hissed, and I grimaced.
"No... really? Maybe... I don't know." I said honestly. Bellatrix just growled and looked at a smiling Enid, her murderous expression noticeably diminished.
"Can you change her from companion to family?" Bellatrix asked.
"What?! I... Did I do something to upset you??" Enid asked, her voice sounding completely defeated.
"Oh, no, no, no. It's not you," I said quickly, trying to calm Enid down. I made a face. "It's just that... we've only been together for a short time and we're used to monogamy and not... this whole harem thing." I tried, but Bellatrix kept boring her gaze into my head.
"Oh… I, it's okay, I can wait, really." Enid said quickly, almost pleadingly. I looked at Bellatrix, and she didn't look pleased in any way.
"We'll talk about this later," she said simply. My stomach dropped. I really didn't want to be a part of that conversation. I sighed tiredly.
"So, Enid, would you like a tour of the mansion? We'll be away for a while soon, but it never hurts to show you what your home is now," I said simply. Enid smiled widely.
"Of course I want to! I'll follow you!" Enid said happily, and I held out my arm to Bellatrix, who immediately grabbed it. I began to walk along with Bellatrix. To my surprise, Enid stuck to my other side and grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers. "This will be fantastic!" she exclaimed happily. I could see Bellatrix's eye twitch and darkness come out over the rest of her body. I gave her a pleading look, and she gritted her teeth as she calmed down. Or not, but it seemed to stop her from jumping on Enid and sucking all her blood.
I sighed as I continued walking. We stopped at every important room we came across. It was in the workshop that Enid saw what I was working on, and her usual smile turned into a slight grimace.
"Are you a pervert?" Enid asked while wrinkling her nose.
"I'm not!" I replied, blushing, and shook off the feeling of déjà vu.
"Yes, she is," Bellatrix added unnecessarily, a mocking smile on her face.
"I mean, it's not bad, but we won't have to wear that outfit, will we?" Enid asked cautiously. Bellatrix's gaze seemed to bore into my head.
"Of course not!" I squealed, blushing. "Clothes are Narcissa's job! She's the house seamstress!" I added quickly, Enid's eyes shining.
"I'm excited! I need a whole new wardrobe! I hope she likes working with colors!" Enid exclaimed happily.
"I'm sure she will. Let's continue with the tour." I sighed tiredly.
The rest of the tour of the mansion was boring; it was mostly Enid skipping through the halls and talking for longer than she needed to breathe. She wasn't even put off by Bellatrix's short answers and my little input; she just kept talking.
While it wasn't particularly annoying, I found the casual chat somewhat enjoyable; it reminded me of Narcissa when she got excited about Hogwarts gossip. Only Enid could practically talk at length about anything.
Tikt*ke Insta accounts! I can't live without them!" Enid added happily as she pulled out her phone. Wait…
"Umm, Enid… It's 2008." Enid's smile froze in place.
"S-sorry, you said 2018, right? Did I hear incorrectly?" Enid asked much louder than she should have. I made a face.
"No, 2008, I'm sure there are hardly any social networks besides Facebok, and maybe MySpce"
"No, no, no, no! Where are my apps?!" Enid shrieked as she slammed her phone down hard, her claws looking like they were about to come out. "Aha! Reddt and Twittr exist in 2008!" Enid said with a triumphant smile.
"Yeah, no, I really don't recommend you go into the early days of Reddt and Twitt r," I said dryly. Enid shuddered and visibly deflated.
streaming services?" Enid asked, turning even paler. I grimaced.
"If I recall correctly... Netflx was launched in 2007? I think Spotfy doesn't exist yet."
"My k-dramas!" Enid cried before stopping once more. "My K-pop!" She squealed in anguish, quickly using her phone once more, looking as though she was about to cry. " Noooo!! This is a nightmare!" Enid whimpered like a beaten puppy. I sighed deeply and ran my hand over my face. We'll see what we can do.
"Give me your phone." I walked over to Enid, and Enid gave me her phone, anxiously looking at me hopefully. Yeah, don't look at me like that. I don't know if I can do anything.
Once I had the phone, I went into the internet settings and saw that it was connected to the Draconic Deus internet. I quickly connected it to The Company's multiversal internet, and new options began to appear promptly. I entered the store, and immediately the applications that Enid was looking for appeared.
"YES!" Enid shouted in a victorious tone. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You're the best!" Enid said elatedly, she planted a hard kiss on my jaw, took her phone from my fingers, and ran off. I stood still for a few seconds before my gaze fell on Bellatrix, who was staring at me with half-lidded eyes. She had been silently watching everything.
I smiled nervously at her, but she just turned around and walked away. I couldn't help but sigh tiredly. It's okay, I brought this on myself.
-----
I had temporarily put the Bellatrix and Enid problem aside and taken refuge inside the training room, as I still had something to prove.
[You, as Serena Snape, have EMIYA ( Nasuverse )]
Emiya's template, Archer's template, and Alaya's Counter Guardian template - I had finally decided to buy them. I couldn't really find a good reason why it wasn't a good idea.
Although there was a problem with the limited template, unfortunately, Unlimited Blade Works did not come with all the weapons that Emiya had accumulated throughout his long life as a Counter Guardian, saving humanity. I could only choose 5 to start with, in addition to Kanshou and Bakuya, which came by default.
If I wanted new weapons in my new Reality Marble, I had to do it the old-fashioned way: go to the Nasuverse and identify the Noble Phantasm myself. Alternatively, the closest solution without needing to enter the bomb that is the Nasuverse is to buy the blueprints from other contractors. The prices were the same as purchasing a Noble Phantasm, but downgraded one level, due to UBW's downgrading when copying an NP.
So the original price of the NPs [ D – 5, C – 10, B – 20, A – 50, EX – 100] would end up being [D – 2, C – 5, B – 10, A – 20, EX – 50], in terms of power level, you had to capture someone of Sona Sitri's level to buy an EX rank NP for UBW, as opposed to having to capture someone of Sairaorg 's level, for its full version. Obviously, the weakened version had its issues, but in terms of versatility? UBW was definitely the best weapon to adapt to any situation.
But putting that aside. I still had five NP inside my UBW; I could feel my Reality Marble within me, and I saw the initial Noble Phantasms I had chosen.
Hrunting, one of Beowulf's magic swords, can sniff out the scent of blood and can deliver the optimal slash with a single ordinary strike. Used by Emiya as a projectile, it becomes a magic bullet capable of reaching Mach 10 speed on the most direct path to its target. It will continue to pursue it even if it is stopped, repelled, or avoided as long as the shooter keeps aiming at the target.
Rho Aias, the shield used by Aias the Great, the only shield capable of stopping the durindana of the great hero Hector, a bronze shield covered with seven layers of oxhide. Its existence was sublimated into a conceptual weapon that is said to be an absolute defense against any throwing weapon.
Rule Breaker, a weapon that materializes and embodies the divinity of the Witch of Betrayal, Medea. It is effectively non-existent in its capacity as a weapon; it would not be suitable even to kill a normal person. However, it is the ultimate conceptual ritual tool, better known as the ultimate anti-magic Noble Phantasm, capable of dispelling and destroying any kind of sorcery.
Harpe is a divine 'sword' from Greek mythology used by Perseus to kill the Gorgon Medusa. Its true strength is its Longevity Refraction trait. This divine ability nullifies the 'eternal attribute' of immortals and inflicts wounds that cannot be restored by any method other than natural healing.
And finally, Excalibur, the strongest holy sword and symbol of King Arthur, better known as Artoria, in a world where demons were weak to divine power, Excalibur truly shone. With those 5 Noble Phantasms, I had covered most of the things I needed.
Excalibur, as a divine construct, would generally be impossible to replicate and could only generate a 'papier-mache' copy. However, even if she could only wield Excaliburs Image, a hollow, degraded version of it, it would still be an enormous source of firepower. Or she could find a way to get it closer to the real thing. In Fate Kaleid, Illya was able to project it at a high level. Indeed, her nature as a Lesser Grail must have had a lot to do with it, and this world had grails, three of them.
They may not be of the exact nature as the grails, but they still existed, just like the parts of Excalibur. There were several factors to experiment with in order to recreate a copy of Excalibur that was as close to the real thing as possible.
Plus, I could always buy another Noble Phantasm on the fly. I still had to create a doll sensitive enough for my NP to use, but I had a few I wanted to buy, some really useful, some not so much, but I really liked them.
But that would be later; first, I had to test the ones I had. That's why I was in the training room. I stood in the middle and took a deep breath.
I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to Death,
Nor known to Life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works.
It felt wrong, so wrong, that wasn't me, I wasn't a sword, I wasn't a weapon, I would have to find another way to do that little chant of mine, because just reciting it made my hair stand on end and made me shudder in the worst way. But it worked, just as it should.
My magic was an ocean and could easily supply the cost of projecting a Reality Marble without any problem. The training room began to change as my domain spread rapidly, and… what?
I could feel it for a few seconds, like my insides wanted to change the Reality Marble to adapt to me, but Emiya's inner world, Archer's, ended up winning. It was made up of a desolate vision, obscured by a thick fog formed by embers and shreds of black smog rising from the ground, produced by the forging of iron, and large mechanisms coming from afar that produced the swords stuck in the ground.
That meant I could make the UBW mine, having unconsciously claimed it as my own, and it was fascinating. I had to work at it, focusing on the chanting to make it completely mine, as it was formed. Still, I reached out, and one of the swords flew in my direction. I grabbed it between my fingers before I began to manipulate its shape and twist it, changing its form so that it resembled the projectile I remembered.
I drew an arc and placed Hrunting on it. My body moved on its own, as if I had done it a thousand times. I let my magic fill the Noble Phantasm, destabilizing it and turning it into a Broken Phantasm. I released the rope. Hrunting turned into a red beam of light and shot off at high speed. I didn't have to worry about the destruction within my reality, Marble, so I barely even flinched when it crashed into an obstacle and exploded.
I let a smile form on my face. I had a lot to prove.
