Shen Yi retracted his dou qi while looking at the candidates around, then he turned around and walked off the stage.
"Brother Yi, congratulations on being promoted to the inner branch." Instantly Hu Jia's voice sounded, and her figure appeared, walking toward him with a whip attached to her waist.
Shen Yi's footsteps halted, and then he glanced at her and calmly replied, "Thank you; you will also be promoted to the inner branch soon."
Hu Jia smiled and then shook her head and replied, "It will take a year or two for me to reach the grandmaster realm."
Shen Yi nodded and then walked forward toward the resident area in order to pack his stuff. While other classmates appeared and congratulated him one by one, he simply nodded politely toward them.

He appeared near the transit area, looking at the five outer sect elders standing in front of him and a flying ship parked behind them.
Shen Yi nodded politely, looking at them. "Elders."
Elder Hu nodded with a smile and said, "Let's go; I will escort you to the inner sect."
After speaking, he turned around and boarded the ship. Shen Yi followed behind him, while the other remaining elders flew beside the ship toward the mountain range in front of them.
Shen Yi glanced at the other four elders around thoughtfully. Elder Hu explained calmly after noticing his expression.
"There is a huge protection barrier surrounding the inner branch, and the key lies in all five elders of the outer sect. By combining all of our five dou qi, one can open the passage… Even strong dou ancestors can't break through this barrier protection."
Shen Yi nodded silently despite already knowing the reason; soon they reached the location, and the boat stopped floating midair.

Elder Hu looked at Elder Su in front of him and then turned around and left after seeing him nodding.
Elder Su then glanced in the direction of Shen Yi and spoke calmly.
"You are Shen Yi. I heard a lot about you… Anyway, you have passed the first trial only by winning the promotion competition; in order to truly reach the inner sect, you have to pass the forest behind me."
After speaking, Elder Su threw a metallic token toward him; Shen Yi caught it and observed it thoughtfully.

After speaking, he bypassed him and walked toward the forest behind with a thoughtful expression on his face.
'In these few months, I have only risen to one small realm and broken through the four-star Dou Ancestor level, but this flame tower will increase my speed a lot. There are still two and a half years before Xiao Yan's arrival… I will try reaching the nine-star Dou Venerate realm before that.
