Shen Yi did not allow them another breath of existence. He simply raised a single hand toward the trio, his eyes closing briefly in focused, cold concentration.
The boundless Dou Qi of his Nine Star Saint realm manifested not as fire or lightning, but as pure Chaos Lightning... a terrifying, dull-gray torrent of ancient, elemental energy that perfectly fused all forms of elemental destruction into one, single power.
With a minimal, dismissive flick of his wrist, the Chaos Lightning descended, focused entirely on the three black-robed figures.
The attack was a single, silent stream of devastating gray light.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh…" three distinct, horrifying screams instantly cut short.
The three Soul Hall figures were the first to scream... a sound instantly cut short as their physical bodies, their black robes, and their powerful Dou Venerate souls were pulverized into fine, glowing ash, instantly vaporized before their very atoms could scatter into the wind. The entire fight lasted less than a single, devastating second. The deadly threat to his parents was instantly and utterly annihilated.
Then, Shen Yi opened his eyes. His calm gaze swept slowly over the entire extent of Yan City. The Chaos Lightning that had just ended the Soul Hall threat flared outward again, not as a destructive blast, but as an instantaneous, overwhelming spiritual wave that enveloped the entire, vast City.
Every single Chu Yun soldier, all remaining Soul Hall members, and every high-level practitioner involved in the invasion were instantly paralyzed on the spot, their spirits crushed into submission by the immeasurable pressure of a Nine-Star Dou Saint. Their weapons fell from their nerveless, frozen hands. The invasion, from a thousand miles around, was definitively, absolutely over.
Shen Yi lowered his arm, the faint gray-gold flicker in his eyes softening noticeably as he slowly descended toward the courtyard below.
Shen Han and Shen Yue stood utterly frozen, their eyes locked on the familiar, yet now terrifyingly powerful, figure of their son.
A gentle spatial current guided Shen Yi to the ground. He stepped forward, his immense power condensing until he appeared as nothing more than a tired young man, returning home from a long, difficult journey.
"Father, Mother," he said in a simple, respectful tone, the sound a comforting balm after the terrifying chaos. "I'm here to take you away."
"Yi'er!" Shen Yue hurried forward and rushed directly into his arms, hugging him tightly, her relief an intense physical wave. Shen Han, meanwhile, looked at him with a slightly hesitant, profoundly proud expression. "Yi'er… You have truly become a Dou Saint now."
Shen Yi nodded, a genuine, light smile gracing his face. "Yes, Father. After today, no one on this entire continent will dare to defy the Shen family ever again."
Shen Han nodded, feeling an immense swell of pride well up in his chest. Shen Yue also smiled, then looked around curiously, a sudden thought occurring to her. "Where is our daughter-in-law?"
Shen Yi raised his brow slightly, a hint of amusement in his eyes, and replied thoughtfully, "She is currently staying in her clan's territory. You will both meet her very, very soon."
He glanced briefly in the direction of the north. "I have to confirm one final matter of importance. Once that is done, we will leave this Empire immediately."
After speaking, he waved his hand, and a golden-black slit materialized, tearing open the void directly in front of them and establishing a stable golden-black channel. He walked forward, and his parents, their initial shock replaced by eager, trusting curiosity, followed closely behind him.
A Remote Corner of the Jia Ma Empire,
On the opposite side, in a remote, forgotten corner near the border of the Jia Ma Empire, the void above Wutan City ripped open violently. Shen Yi and his parents walked calmly out from the tear and stood suspended in the sky, looking down upon the city below.
Their attention was instantly drawn to the desolate, ruined territory of the Xiao Clan. "What happened to the Xiao Clan?" Shen Han immediately asked, his brow furrowed with concern as he took in the sight of the desolate ruins.
'It appears Xiao Yan has long since left the Jia Ma Empire, and the Xiao Clan has also been resettled in a new location. The plotline has been completely messed up and irrevocably changed,' Shen Yi thought to himself, the cold reality settling in. He waved his hand, and the void in front of them opened once more into the shape of a channel. He stepped inside, and his parents followed close behind him.
Eastern Dragon Island,
Suddenly, the void ripped open once more high above the royal peak of the Eastern Dragon Island, and three figures walked calmly out of it.
"Yi'er, this is the Eastern Dragon Island? It truly is amazing," Shen Yue spoke, her voice filled with wonder and profound amazement as she gazed at the breathtaking scenery of the entire floating island below. Shen Han remained silent beside her, simply taking in the majestic, awe-inspiring sight.
Shen Yi nodded, and then his expression changed slightly as he noticed something, glancing in the direction of the royal residence below. A small, knowing smile appeared on his face. "It seems her full awakening is finally complete."
His parents also noticed a familiar, slender figure flying rapidly toward them. In the next moment, they were utterly startled, witnessing the profound, mature changes in Zi Yan's appearance.
Zi Yan appeared wearing a luxurious purple-golden robe. A magnificent dragon and a phoenix were embroidered onto the fabric, seemingly dancing with life, emitting a natural, noble aura that could not be suppressed or hidden.
Her figure was tall and graceful, and she possessed long, flowing purple hair that poured down her body like a shimmering waterfall, spreading over her narrow waist and reaching down to her buttocks.
She was now strikingly beautiful, having fully transformed into a mature woman. Her purple eyes had shifted into a pure purple-golden color, appearing mysterious and containing a magical, captivating charm. Under the gaze of these imperial purple-golden eyes, it felt as though the entire world would willingly submit to her absolute command.
The current Zi Yan no longer possessed the appearance of a cheerful, impulsive girl. Instead, she had turned into a stunning, mature lady, whose breathtaking beauty was such that legends would say she could bring disaster to an entire country or a great city.
Both Shen Han and Shen Yue's eyes were momentarily vacant, mesmerized by the sheer, noble power of Zi Yan's aura. Their eyes then gathered on the space behind her, where a pair of ten-foot-long, formidable purple-golden wings were gently being flapped. The motion created a focused, powerful wind, and the faint, powerful sound of thunder was vaguely emitted, shaking the soul of anyone who heard it.
